Excellent

I really liked the tour because it was so much fun, new experiences and nice people. The CEO was the best and he made the trip even better. I am gonna miss all the people that we met during the tour.

Excellent

Once again, G adventures excelled. The CEO was amazing, the excursions were fantastic, the variety of transport was excellent, just wish there were more included activities. I love that we got 3 very different Homestay experiences! G is my only way to travel, there was (and always is) some drama in the group and I prefer smaller groups (10-12) as I think people are closer that way. I feel 18 is too many but that?s just how it is. Great experience all round! Just have to figure my next adventure. Thank you all!

Excellent

Excellent

I definitely recommend this trip! It's action packed so be aware that you're going to be on the move. But we saw so much and our guide Epul was always there to help us, give us information, and make us laugh!! I especially loved the Indonesia portion of the trip, including our day at Red Island surfing, the Mount Bromo hike, and the homestay. We were lucky enough to experience several Hindu New Year's celebrations such as Melasti, Ogoh Ogoh festival, and Silent Day. I loved learning about the beautiful cultures of these countries! My group was amazing and I had a blast traveling with fun, positive people from all over the world.

Insights on traveling Indonesia on a budget

Average daily budget for an affordable Indonesia trip

Travelers seeking rich experiences on a shoestring will find Indonesia refreshingly easy on the wallet. On a budget tour booked through Bookmundi, expect to spend around USD 50 per day, covering basic accommodation, local meals, shared transport, entrance fees, and some guided activities. That includes snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, visiting temples like Borobudur, or hiking volcanic landscapes. Elsewhere in Indonesia, travelers outside of tours can still thrive on about USD 25 – 40 daily, especially when staying in guesthouses and eating at local warungs.

Recommended activities and destinations for budget tours in Indonesia

From colorful city markets to quiet island paths, Indonesia offers countless budget-friendly delights. Explore Ubud for its art scenes and free rice terrace walks, or soak up local life in Yogyakarta, home to traditional batik workshops and vibrant street performances. Nature lovers can revel in Lombok’s beaches, Mount Bromo’s sunrise hikes, or snorkel off the Gili Islands without draining their funds. Many inexpensive holidays of Indonesia include immersive community visits and cultural encounters often skipped by mainstream travel. When to travel Indonesia to save more

Scoring cheap trips to Indonesia is easier if you avoid the crowd-heavy high season. Travel between January and May, or September through November, when accommodation and tour prices dip while weather remains generally favorable. These shoulder seasons offer cooler temps and fewer tourists, especially in places like Bali and Java. Coastal areas like Flores or Komodo remain pleasant even during brief rainy spells, so you can still enjoy a low budget Bali trip or jungle excursion without overpaying.
