Excellent

Amazing experience. The country is beautiful, the program balances activities and free time, and shows you many less touristy aspects. Being in the crater of an active volcano and surfing on Red Island was incredible. And we had the best guide in the world. Thank you very much Gede!

Sign up for The Best of Java if you want a safe but adventurous look at Indonesia's storied island. G gives you comfortable accommodations while you team up with the best guides to explore ancient sites, rich culture, and world-renowned cuisine. G also keeps it local by using independent services ... and you go deeper still with a homestay in a village famous for living the harmony of Indonesia's many spiritual faiths.

Experiencing the Best of Java with guide Hasron (Ron) and a wonderful group of international travellers was enriching and fun. We met local people, ate at local restaurants, cycled through rice paddies and villages, climbed impressive ancient temples with specialist guides, saw how Batik, tempeh and bricks were made, watched traditional musical dance performances and even participated in performing songs with anklungs, stayed with a village family and heard how they live in peace despite three different religions, climbed Mt Bromo and watched the sunrise. So much packed into one week and I didn’t even mention the delicious food! I would highly recommend this tour and our wonderful guide, Hasron. Thank you, Hasron, for all your attention to the details that made the tour run so smoothly, your willingness to share your culture with us and your wonderful sense of humour. « Sha-la-la-la-la! » Terimakasih!!

Definitely worth it if you want to explore Java and Bali in a short time. You see the whole island and so many different spots and landscapes. The guide (Gede) was extraordinary.

A fast paced tour of Java, Bali, Lombok and the Gili Islands. Our CEO Ajat was amazing. So many different experiences including temples, waterfalls, local villages, rice fields, live volcanoes at sunrise, snorkeling with turtles and so much more!

This trip is one of the best trips you can find! It’s well balanced between action and wellness and everyday something unique. I always felt safe thanks to our CEO Babez while we did our adventures excursion. It is really hard to choose what my favourite was since everyday was unique and special! Be it cultural or the connection with the People we met along the way or the unique activities or places we visit. Don’t miss out on this trip!

Travel Tips

  • Traffic in Jakarta is known to be notoriously chaotic, which can sometimes cause difficulties in getting around. The most extensive means of public transport is the TransJakarta Busway, a bus service that operates 13 lines. Taxis are also a convenient form of transport for tourists because of their reliability and cost-effectiveness. Transportation apps, both international and local, are also increasingly popular.

  • If you want a quick getaway from the city life then escape to the Thousands Islands. These a cluster of small islands famous for scuba diving and snorkeling. You don't need to go to Bali to enjoy some beach fun.
