Too many stops at shopping opportunities at the expense of the sights we wanted to see. Example: 90 minutes in leather factory in Cappadocia, and missed the fresco churches. There must be better places to stop for lunch than gas stations. Seemed like we also paid a premium in these locations.
There are long hours sitting on the bus with short stops at roadhouses. The last few days seem to be more about getting the bus back to Istanbul than seeing the sights of Turkey. Shopping opportunities featured heavily on our tour and were at time at the expense of time spent at museums and other attractions.
It’s packed. You will see many ancient and important sites. The last day has the most activities. I think adding a day to istanbul would really help.
Turkey is a very ancient country and it has many interesting things to see that you don't necessarily know about.
Excellent. Everything was good. Just the right amount of time in each location in Turkey. Accommodation was great. Small group was a bonus. Tour guide was amazing, so friendly & knowledgeable.
Everything was amazing from start to finish! I especially liked learning more about the ancient ruins of Troy and Ephesus from our guide who not only shared his knowledge but also stories of the time period that really helped.
