Discover sacred Incan sites, colonial wonders, and mysterious Nazca lines with this tour of Peru! Begin your journey in Lima, the Peruvian capital known as the Gastronomic Capital of the Americas where you may taste the exquisite cuisine. Catch a flight to Cusco and enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Andes Mountains. Travel through the Sacred Valley of Peru and visit Awanacancha to see the local llamas and alpacas and discover the traditional weaving and dyeing techniques of the locals. Explore Ollantaytambo, an ancient archaeological complex for the Incas, and travel to Aguas Calientes. Take a bus to Machu Picchu to discover the Lost City of the Incas. Head back to Cusco and fly to Paracas, home to a breathtaking National Reserve and the perfect place from where you can see the Nazca Lines. Take the bus back to Lima where you will end your tour of Peru!

day 1 - — Lima (arrival)

Arrive in Lima, the \"City of Kings\", famous for its Spanish Colonial architecture, extraordinary museums, and delicious cuisine. Lima is internationally recognized as the \"Gastronomic Capital of the Americas\", and its cuisine is considered among the most diverse and exquisite in the world on par with French. Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Lima.

day 2 - Lima – Cusco (by Flight)

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Enjoy a short yet spectacular flight over the snowcapped Andes to Cusco, the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, at an elevation of 11,440 feet. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Optional: Half Day Visit to Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman on SIC basis
Escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel full of colossal fortresses, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes in communion with nature. You will then continue to the Inca shrine of Qenqo, with its awesome altar for sacrifices embedded in the side of the rock. You will finally reach the Puca Pucara Watchtower and Tambomachay — a monument of architectural excellence. This magnificent structure is one of the pillars of the Andean view of the world. Later, you will return to your hotel in Cusco.

day 3 - Cusco – Sacred Valley

The Sacred Valley of the Incas will welcome you today. You will visit Awanacancha, a tourist complex where you will feed Andean camelids such as the llamas and alpacas, and where the locals will show you the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. You will then continue to visit the Inca and Colonial Pisac. Discover one of the most beautiful archeological sites in the Sacred Valley at the top of the mountain where you may enjoy a view of the colonial town of Pisac. Head on a walking tour to the colonial town. Enjoy time shopping at the handicraft market. Then, you will head to the impressive Inkariy Museum. Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch. You will head on a guided tour of the museum, to learn about the numerous rooms where cultural representations of pre-Hispanic civilizations of ancient Peru can be found.

day 4 - Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Your journey will now take you to discover the less explored treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your first stop will be in Moray, a place with breathtaking views thanks to its colossal concentric terraces resembling a coliseum. The terraces recreated 20 different types of microclimates, and they were studied to ensure the agricultural production of the empire. You will then continue your tour to Maras, the millenary colonial salt mines. The contrast of the white pools against the green valley is so impressive that it resembles a postcard. Enjoy a buffet-style lunch. In the afternoon, you will head towards the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where you can see the traditional technique with which the Incas work the stone. You will then catch the train from the Ollantaytambo Station. Arrive in Aguas Calientes, where your trained staff will welcome and assist you in settling into one of the hotels in Aguas Calientes (now known as Machu Picchu Town).

day 5 - Machu Picchu — Cusco

Today you will board the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish you with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps, and urban areas. Enjoy the lively atmosphere all around you. After a guided visit, you will have lunch at one of the local restaurants in the area. At the arranged time, you will return to Cusco where you will be transferred to your hotel.

day 6 - Cusco – Lima (by Flight) – Paracas

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport for your domestic flight to Lima. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the local station to board a tourist bus to Paracas. Arrive at the town of Paracas and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure.

day 7 - Paracas – Lima

Today, you will be transferred to the bus station to head back to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Optional: Nazca Lines Overflight (Pisco-Nazca)
Head to the airport in Pisco to fly over the Nazca lines. See the huge drawing that can only be seen from the sky, and which represents several insects and animals such as the monkey, hummingbird, condor, or spider. The origins are unknown, while many think it is a big astronomic calendar.

Optional: Half-Day Motor Boat To Ballestas Islands
Early in the morning, you will head on a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. The “Chandelier”, a giant figure marked in the sand in the style of the Nazca lines, can also be seen on our way to the islands. On the islands, you will be able to see sea lions, pelicans, Humboldt penguins, and other sea birds. In the afternoon, take the departure bus to Lima and transfer to your hotel.
