day 2 - Hanoi City Tour - Night Train To Sapa (b, L)

Spend your morning to discover the stately Hanoi. Begin your day with an insight into the life of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's most respected revolutionary leader. Visit his mausoleum, house on stilt, the Presidential Palace and the historic One Pillar Pagoda. Then set foot to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university originally built as a temple to Confucius.

After lunch, we will visit the Museum of Ethnology, one of Vietnam's top museum.

Then jump on the iconic cyclo the Old Quarter. This leisurely ride through the narrow streets lined with historic architecture allows us to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of local markets, street food stalls, and artisan shops.

Later enjoy the unique Water Puppet show.

This captivating performance takes place on a water stage, where puppeteers, standing in waist-deep water behind a bamboo screen, manipulate beautifully crafted wooden puppets. The puppets are designed to float and move gracefully across the water, creating an enchanting visual experience.

In the evening we will take the train overnight to Lao Cai.

Note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is open from Tuesday to Thursday and weekends from 8am to 11pm. Closed on Mondays and Fridays. The mausoleum is closed for two months of the year, usually October and November, when Ho Chi Minh’s body is undergoing maintenance by a Russian expert.

day 3 - Lao Cai – Sa Pa (b,l)

Upon your early morning arrival, your tour guide will meet you and take you to a hotel for breakfast.

You will then head towards the nearby China/Vietnam border gate to observe the start of an early day trade taking place between the two countries.

Then we will take a scenic drive to Sapa which is an old French trading town set high on the mountainside with spectacular views.

We will then check into our hotel and have some free time.

After lunch, we will take a walk to Cat Cat Village.

This Village is a picturesque destination and is primarily inhabited by the Hmong ethnic minority and has become a popular tourist attraction due to its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

day 4 - Sa Pa – Lao Cai – Overnight Train To Hanoi (b)

After a short journey overlooking the beautiful, terraced rice paddies, we will arrive at the two villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van home of the H’Mong and Giay hill people. We will take a 3 hour trek to visit them and then return to Sapa.

These villages offer visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of northern Vietnam's highlands while providing insights into the rich cultural tapestry of the region's ethnic minorities. Whether you're interested in photography, cultural exploration, or simply enjoying breathtaking scenery, these villages are considered essential stops.

You will have some free time in the afternoon before we leave by bus for Lao Cai Station.

Overnight sleeper train back to Hanoi.

day 5 - Hanoi – Halong Bay (b, L, D)

After your early morning arrival you will be collected from the station and transferred to a hotel for breakfast.

Your transfer vehicle will then collect you from your hotel in Hanoi and convey you to Hai Phong.

You will be taken on our tender boat from the wharf and make your way out onto the bay to board our luxurious craft, Era Cruise where you will be welcomed aboard, after the safety procedure session you are free to check into your cabin and freshen up.

A special lunch of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites will be served. We set sail for Lan Ha Bay passing to Da Chong Islet where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago.

During the afternoon the cruise will have completed its entry through Cua Van area to Lan Ha Bay (as part of Halong Bay). The area is surrounded by of a lot extraordinary limestone karst landscapes. Guests can start their journey to explore Ba Trai Dao beach or Tra Bau area, by kayaking in the crystal clear waters of the bay and/or enjoy swimming.

During our Happy Hour with a special drink menu (buy one get another one for free), is available before dinner. Prior to dinner our Vietnamese cooking demonstration is a great way to learn how to prepare delicious appetizers and we will guide you through the process.

After dinner tonight in our restaurant, you will have free time to relax with an exotic cocktail or whatever takes your fancy.

day 6 - Halong Bay – Hanoi (b, Brunch)

The nicest time of the day on Lan Ha Bay is the early morning.

Head to the upper deck to participate in our daily Tai Chi sessions or relax with an early morning cup of tea, coffee or juice anywhere you wish on the boat and watch the never ending miraculous scenery unfold before you.

A light breakfast will be served in our restaurant (pastries, tea, coffee) before we enjoy the last stage of your trip to Dark & Bright cave and islets by local rowing boats which is a wild and mysterious beauty in the middle of the World Heritage area.

Back to our main boat afterwards and check out of your cabin as we draw closer to the mainland.

After a final early brunch and a last goodbye from our crew, you will board our tender and head back to the wharf where you will be met by your return trip vehicle to transfer you to Hanoi.

day 7 - Hanoi – Fly To Hue - Afternoon Tour (b,l)

Today you will take a domestic flight to Hue.

Upon arrival in Hue we can explore the superb sights of the city including the Citadel, the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City.

The Imperial City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the political and cultural heart of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. Within its fortified walls lies the Forbidden Purple City, a private complex reserved for the emperor, his family, and select court members. Visitors can still appreciate its historical significance and architectural beauty.

day 8 - Hue City Tour (b, L)

The day begins with a serene dragon boat ride on the Perfume River, allowing you to soak in the picturesque landscapes and tranquil atmosphere. Our first stop will be Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady. This historic site, with its seven-story tower, is a symbol of Hue.

Next, we will visit the Tu Duc Tomb, one of the most elaborate royal tombs of the Nguyen emperors. Nestled in a lush landscape, this site features beautiful gardens, lakes, and traditional Vietnamese architecture, reflecting the emperor's love for poetry and nature.

Visit Dong Ba market on our return.

One of Hue's most bustling markets. Here, you can immerse yourself in local life as you browse through stalls filled with fresh produce, traditional handicrafts, and delicious street food.

day 9 - Hue – Hoi An - Walking Tour (b,l)

Travel through the high pass of Hai Van with its spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean en route to Hoi An. On the way we will also visit Cham museum, Me Khe beach and the marble village.

The Cham Museum is home to an extensive collection of Cham artifacts and sculptures that showcase the rich history of the Champa civilization. It is then off to My Khe Beach often regarded as one of Vietnam's most beautiful beaches and finally taking in the stunning panoramic views from the summit of Marble Mountain, a cluster of five marble hills featuring caves and temples.

On arrival, take a leisure walking tour in Hoi An and soak up its rich wealth of heritage. Visit the Japanese Merchant Houses, the famed Japanese bridge, Chinese temples, ancient houses and pagodas.

This walking tour provides an intimate look at Hoi An’s cultural tapestry, allowing you to appreciate its historical significance while enjoying the picturesque scenery. Whether you're a history buff, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in local culture, this tour promises an unforgettable experience in one of Vietnam's most charming towns.

day 11 - Hoi An – My Son Tour - Hoi An Cooking Class (b,l)

Today, join a fun cooking class to create some of Vietnam's signature dishes at a famous Vietnamese restaurant.

Pay a visit to the local market to shop for fresh produce, then join the cooking class as your chef show you the culinary technique and insights in using various herbs and spices. After the lesson, sit down and dine on your creations.

In the afternoon, we will visit My Son Sanctuary, the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam up to the 13th century. Discover the majestic ancient ruins at My Son including ancient towers which were built from the 4th century. A visit is not only a journey through history but also an opportunity to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of a bygone era.

day 12 - Hoi An – Fly To Ho Chi Minh City And Cu Chi Tunnel (b)

We will take a short domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City early this morning,

Upon arrival, we will explore the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels, an immense network of underground tunnels used by the Vietcong as a military base during the Vietnam War. See a short introductory video showing how the Ho Chi Minh tunnels were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels. There are various mantraps on display and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by B52 bombers.

After the tour we will return to Ho Chi Minh City and check-in to your Hotel.

day 13 - Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta (b, L, D)

After breakfast we will escape the busy city to travel to the lush green Mekong Delta to discover its unique ecosystem. On arrival, check in the quaint eco resort and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Our excursion will include a boat ride and taking a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, sample seasonal fruits and honey tea, and enjoying a performance of traditional Southern singing.

In the evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner at the resort.

day 14 - Mekong – Ho Chi Minh City (b, L)

Our day will begin with a boat trip along the endless waterway of the mighty Mekong River to discover the colorful Cai Be floating market and the traditional handicraft villages.

The vibrant floating markets, where local traders sell fresh produce, fruits, and handicrafts from their boats is a bustling and lively representation of the Mekong Delta's unique culture.

In the afternoon we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City and the rest of the day is your leisure time.

day 15 - Ho Chi Minh City (b, L)

Today we tour around the city and visit the highlights of Saigon such as Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office, Formal Presidential Palace, Museum of War Remnants and Ben Thanh Market.

Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office provide a glimpse into the traditions of French Colonial Architecture and stand as testament to bygone eras.

The Museum of War Remnants provides a sobering look at the Vietnam War through powerful exhibits, photographs, and artifacts that document the impact of the conflict on Vietnam and its people.

Reunification Palace, also known as the Independence Palace. This historic site served as the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Ben Thanh Market offers a unique glimpse into the daily lives of Ho Chi Minh City’s residents while highlighting the city's rich cultural tapestry. Whether you're shopping for souvenirs at Ben Thanh or exploring the vibrant streets of Cho Lon, these destinations promise an enriching experience filled with local flavors and traditions.

After lunch the afternoon will be at your leisure.

day 16 - Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap (b,l)

After breakfast your driver will transfer you to the airport to take the short international flight to Siem Reap.

Upon your arrival in Siem Reap we will explore a collection of 4 Angkor Era monuments (Bakong, Preah Ko, Lolei and Prei Monti) which are not located within the main Angkor Wat Park, but instead near a small town named Rolous, 12 kms east of Siem Reap.

Visiting these sites provides insight into the origins of Angkorian architecture and the early history of the Khmer Empire.

In the late afternoon we will climb to the hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng for a spectacular sunset.

day 17 - Angkor Wat Complex (b,l)

Take a drive out to the Pre Rup and East Mebon and visit Banteay Srey (the Woman temple) followed by lunch .

Visiting these sites provides insight into the origins of Angkorian architecture and the early history of the Khmer Empire.

In the afternoon we explore the majestic Angkor Wat – The Wonder of the World – a truly memorable experience.

This site is a Symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag and has been a major tourist attraction and pilgrimage site since its rediscovery gaining UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 1992.

day 18 - Siem Reap (b,l)

After breakfast we visit the ruins of Taprohm (the Jungle Temple) before heading to Banteay Kdei and the nearby lake of Sra Srang.

Taprohm (the Jungle Temple) is known world wide as it was featured in the Tomb Raider Movie is one of the most atmospheric temples in the whole complex while Sra Srang offers visitors a peaceful setting to appreciate the hydraulic engineering skills of the ancient Khmer civilization and enjoy beautiful views, especially during sunrise or sunset.

Following lunch we will explore the Angkor Thom. Known for its impressive causeway lined with stone figures of gods and demons it was the last capital of the Khmer Empire.

day 19 - Siem Reap – Phnom Penh - Afternoon Tour (b, L)

Today our driver will transfer you to the airport for a short domestic flight to Phnom Penh.

On arrival at Phnom Penh our guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel.

After check in we will have lunch and visit the Wat Phnom Pagoda which is dedicated to the founder of the city, Madam Penh.

The temple grounds are often bustling with vendors selling offerings, drinks, and souvenirs. Visitors may also encounter fortune tellers and those selling birds for release as an act of merit.

day 20 - Phnom Penh City Tour (b,l,d)

A full-day sightseeing in the national capital including lunch as we visit the National museum, the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the Tuol Sleng Museum, the horrific killing field and the Russian Market.

At the National Museum you will see the largest collection of Khmer art and artifacts before moving on to the Royal Palace complex which is home to Cambodia's Monarchy where you can stand in awe at the Silver Pagoda named for the floor covered with 5,000 silver tiles.

It is then onto the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum provides a sobering look into Cambodia's recent history, housed in a former high school turned prison during the Khmer Rouge regime, followed by a visit to the Killing Fields.

The afternoon ends with a visit to the Russian Market where you can browse through stalls selling everything from local handicrafts and silk to electronics and souvenirs.

In the evening, enjoy a special Farewell dinner.
