Cappadocia is one of the world’s most popular destinations for hot air balloons. Early in the morning, we recommend a Balloon tour, floating over Cappadocia. The gentle and stable wind conditions are ideal during the first few hours of the day in the region. It is also the perfect time for photography, with splendid colors and contrasts so don’t forget to bring your camera! The deep canyons and gentle winds carry you over places that could never be reached except by balloon.
In the morning breakfast, depart from Cappadocia and travel southwest toward Pamukkale. Along the way, stop at the Sultanhan Caravanserai, an impressive 13th-century Seljuk inn that once served as a resting place for Silk Road traders and travelers. The beautifully preserved stone architecture and detailed carvings reveal the sophistication of Seljuk engineering. After your visit, travel to Selçuk to see the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Though only a few columns remain, the site is a powerful reminder of its former grandeur. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and spend a day leisurely exploring the beautiful city of Izmir on your own. Izmir is the third-largest city in Türkiye, the second biggest port after Istanbul. Once the ancient city of Smyrna, İzmir is now a modern, developed, and busy commercial center, set around a huge bay and surrounded by mountains. The broad boulevards, glass-fronted buildings, and modern shopping centers are dotted with traditional, red-tiled roofs, the 18th-century market, and old mosques and churches, although the city has an atmosphere more of Mediterranean Europe than traditional Türkiye. İzmir owes its position as an economically and socially dynamic city to its location, climate, and the fact that it has been home to many different cultures and religions. Persians, Ancient Greeks, Assyrians, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans are just a few of the dozens of different civilizations that the city has hosted through its long history.Overnight in Izmir
