Reviews of our Argentina Tours for Spring
Feedback from guests who toured Argentina during Spring.
The 3 hotels worked for us. We hate it when we have to pack/repack to often. Our party of 4 like the itinerary also. Our TD mentioned plenty of stuff to do with our free time too. Loved amount of free time also.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip if you are looking for spectacular scenery. Photos really do not do it justice but the mountains, forests, lakes, glaciers, waterfalls and even the clouds are breathtaking. The trip starts in the city of Buenos Aires which is a mix of old and new and would suggest adding a day or two to the trip to see more of it as we did. Our trip was in their autumn, the last trip of the year and the autumn colours in the national parks were beautiful. We were lucky with the weather and only one of the hikes was cut short because of heavy rain and no view. The additional trips are well worth taking. We did the tango show in Buenos Aires, then Perito Moreno glacier boat trip and the boat trip in the Beagle Channel in Ushuaia although it was disappointing that we were not told in advance of our trip that the penguins had already migrated. We did still see sea lions and a whale sighting was a bonus but not guaranteed. Our tour leader, Lara, was superb as were the guides who joined us on each of the hikes.
Great trip with Andrés. Other than Mendoza & Buenos Aires we saw practically no foreign tourists. Great wineries, amazing scenery, some bumpy roads. Some places we arrived late & left early after staying in hotels outside the centre so never really saw small town Argentina other than for rest stops. Salta looked an interesting city but only had a short walk in centre, following day was a long day out of town and we left early the following day. Salta deserves a full free day.
It was good to go to Buenos Aires first. Rio is so spectacular that seeing BA afterward would have been a disappointment. In Rio, the evening at the Roxy was so special that it should have been part of the included itinerary instead of a paid extra. Several of our group missed it and were upset when they found out from us how wonderful it is.
This was a dream trip to a part of the world I never thought I would see. It did not disappoint! It was late in the season for Patagonia but we were lucky to have only a couple of really bad weather days. We had a great group and an excellent and knowledgeable leader in Andres. Highlights were visiting Ushuaia at the southern tip of the world, Torres del Paine National Park, and seeing a glacier up close. The trip is bookended by Buenos Aires, and it’s well worth while allowing extra time to get to know this interesting city. The trip is a winner!!
It was my first trip with Trafalgar, and one of my best decisions . It was an and dream experience. The program, itinerary and the schedule were perfect for me. With the quality and amount of information that we’ve got from Luana it’s really turned out to be unforgettable. Luana the information, your stories and history snapshots were the highlight every day. They are the chain holding together all the memories of this trip. Thank you!
