Discover Argentina Your Way
From the tango-filled streets of Buenos Aires to the icy wilderness of Patagonia, Argentina is a country that feels like a world of its own. Adventurers can trek beneath the towering spires of Cerro Torre, while the colorful landscapes around Salta in the north offer a completely different experience. For a European-inspired twist, head to Bariloche, where chocolate shops, craft breweries, and alpine-style architecture are framed by stunning lakes and mountains. And for those who prefer a glass in hand, the vineyards of Mendoza are a paradise for wine lovers.
Whether you’re drawn to nature, culture, or cuisine, our local travel experts can help you design a tailor-made Argentina tour that matches your interests. Reach out to our travel expert to get started.
When to go to Argentina
With its vast size and varied geography, Argentina’s climate shifts dramatically from region to region. Patagonia is best visited between December and March, when trails are open and conditions are ideal for trekking. For a more relaxed city escape, Buenos Aires shines between March and May, when the heat eases and the jacarandas bloom. Skiers should plan their trip between July and September, with slopes like Cerro Castor offering prime conditions. Meanwhile, Argentina’s Atlantic coast resorts, such as Pinamar and San Clemente, are at their best from December to February. See month-wise recommendations.
How long to stay in Argentina
If you’re short on time, Argentina can be experienced in as little as five days, with highlights in and around Buenos Aires. For a more complete journey, we recommend at least 10 days, enough to combine the capital with Patagonia’s Ushuaia and the thundering Iguazú Falls. Extend your trip to two weeks or more, and you can explore Mendoza’s wine country, delve deeper into Patagonia’s wilderness, and uncover hidden gems beyond the classic highlights. Learn more.
Must-visit destinations in Argentina
Argentina’s attractions are as diverse as its landscapes. The mighty Iguazú Falls is a bucket-list wonder, while Patagonia’s trekking hub of El Chaltén opens the door to trails past glaciers such as Upsala and Perito Moreno. At the southern tip, Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, beckons adventurers with opportunities for sailing, hiking, and Antarctic expeditions. Wildlife lovers can head to Puerto Madryn to spot penguins or to the Península Valdés for whale watching. And no customized Argentina trip is complete without marveling at the icy beauty of Los Glaciares National Park. Check out more destinations in Argentina.
