Far away from the routine of the conventional excursions, get ready for some serious off-road experiences! Travel in a 4WD vehicle through Tierra del Fuego wild lands on
this 8-hour tour from Ushuaia. From above the Andes we’ll get a view of Lago Escondido (Hidden Lake), a little wonder that hides at the bottom of a valley. Afterwards, we visit the enormous Lake Fagnano. In our Land Rover Defender we will go through the forest and across rivers. The guide’s congeniality, the barbecue and the Argentine Malbec shared with travelers from all over the world certainly will be worthy to be remember
Overview
We will pick you up between 8 and 8.30 am to head to the lakes. The minibus will take Route 3, which runs along the mountain range and allows access to the Garibaldi passageway, a panoramic point from which you will be able to see: the Escondido and Fagnano lakes. The descent will begin, diverging from the road to follow woodcutter's ancient trails. 4WD vehicles allow to get to places with impossible access otherwise, because of the forest, the clay and rocks. First we got to Fagnano lake, which will amaze us with its immensity. Around 1.30 pm, arrive at the refuge where a delicious asado criollo (typical barbecue) will be served. While the guides prepare the food, you can have a walk around to appreciate the forest and beavers dams.After lunch, the adventure continues through an intern path leading to the Escondido lake, with minor dimensions but surrounded by an incomparable landscape.
The tour ends with the drop off at your hotel round 4.30 pm.
