Jordan was such an unexpected variety of history, beauty and fun! 100% safe and stress-free. Our guide Abdullah couldn’t have been any more helpful or enthusiastic about his beloved country. I’m not sure how he retains all the information he does! Highlights were Petra by night, snorkelling in the Red Sea and the sunset at Wadi Rum! We stayed an extra night beforehand to ease us in - which I’d advise. Advise to pack some longer shorts and tops with sleeves but it isn’t as strict as you’d think. Abdullah always advised us what to wear etc. definitely take a hat (we were in summer though!) most men purchased a traditional headscarf to wear. Cash is a defo must and get the most you think you’ll need as you’ll be charged £5 every time you withdraw funds. Defo buy / take snacks as meal times can be later than expected. Abdullah will provide water but take a wide necked bottle to refill. Take beach shoes for the dead sea and the canyon waterfall walk! Take walking shoes for Petra as lots more climbing than i anticipated. You will get V dusty! But it’s all part of the amazing adventure. Do the trip, do the extras, you WONT regret it. Everyone is so happy to see you.

Jordan Discovery was an amazing trip- my best yet with Explore. It was made by the tour leader Abdullah who was incredibly knowledgeable, made sure things ran like clockwork, had an excellent sense of humour, took photographs to document our experience- nothing was too much to ask and his patience was endless. It was clear Jordan is suffering from a lack of tourism due to the conflict in Israel- such a shame for a beautiful country and incredibly safe. Highlights: Petra is stunning and the Petra by Night experience was fabulous; subtly lit and a wonderful animated projection onto the iconic Treasury. Wadi Rumi and the desertscape had a beauty of its own. The Jeep ride was exhilarating and sunset something that actually made me cry. The Dead Sea was a surreal experience, it too had a quality of magic about it- the vast blue. Jordan- a top trip that will live with me forever.

Our trip to Jordan was absolutely incredible, thanks to the exceptional guidance of Saleh, our tour guide. His deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine care for each member of the group made the experience truly special. He was passionate about sharing Jordan’s rich history and culture, ensuring we left with a much deeper appreciation of this beautiful country. The tour itinerary was thoughtfully planned, covering all the must-see attractions, including the breathtaking Petra, which was a definite highlight. Snorkeling in the Red Sea was another fantastic experience, allowing us to explore the vibrant marine life in crystal-clear waters. The coach was spacious and extremely comfortable, equipped with WiFi and charging facilities, making travel between locations smooth and hassle-free. To top it off, our group was an absolute delight—everyone was friendly, engaged, and contributed to making the trip even more enjoyable. Overall, this tour was a perfect blend of cultural immersion, adventure, and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Jordan in a well-organized, engaging, and comfortable way!

Just can't find enough words to describe all the fantastic, magical moments of our trip to Jordan. It was simply AMAZING! Loved all of the places we visited, although I was mostly interested in archaeological sites and wasn't sure what to expect about the rest. But the city of Amman, Aqaba area and the Red Sea, Petra, Mount Nebu, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, every single tour and activity was remarkable. Everywhere we had a deep feeling of being welcomed and hosted by friendly and hospitable people, the food was excellent, always perfectly and often healthily cooked with lots of salads and natural fruit juice - we fell in love with the omnipresent Lemon and Mint drink! - and nice and comfortable accommodation. And last but not least, our leader, Abdullah Alhlalat, worked off the charts. He had a great knowledge of culture, history, and nature, a delightful sense of humour, a super helpful attitude, and never failed to give you a sense of safety and comfort. He literally enhanced our whole experience of the amazing country of Jordan. You simply can't stop talking about the trip and showing pictures to family and friends afterwards, and they all fall in love with the trip and with Jordan.

Perfect itinerary and exactly the right pace to get maximum time at each location. Our guide Saleh was very personable, informative, responsive and very entertaining. He made the tour most enjoyable and comfortable. Jordan is a marvellous country with excellent food and hospitality, outstanding scenery and a wealth of history. Highlights were a night in Wadi Rum, Little Petra, Snorkelling in the Red Sea and the Dead Sea mud. 100% recommend this trip.

Explore's Jordan Discovery was a thoroughly enjoyable trip, made great by our tour leader Abdullah and fellow travellers. Jordan is an extremely interesting country and felt a safe place to visit. The holiday is full on initially (Amman & Jerash) but pace slows as holiday progresses. In Petra it is possible to do things in your own time, and linked to your own interests. There are geat walking opportunities available which can be done in conjunction with optional activiies. Wadi Rum, Aquaba (boat trip & snorkeling in Red Sea) and Dead Sea visit were all very relaxing. I would recommend this holiday to anyone who wants to know more about this interesting country, hopefully you'll be lucky enough to get Abdullah as your tour leader. His skills were second to none he made sure everyone on the trip was included & their needs met, and he shared with us his love of Jordan.

This is a varied and 'action packed' tour covering the best that Jordan can offer. It was made exceptionally good by having a first class leader - abdulla who is clearly the finest leader I have ever experienced having completed many tours over many years. I need to add that Jordan is a very safe country and not involved in adjacent wars. There is nothing to fear in coming to Jordan - a friendly and welcoming nation.

Our tour leader Abdallah was a phenomenal guide. So informative, interesting, funny and compassionate to all. The tour was amazing, a great mixture of sightseeing and exploring the wonders of Petra and the magic of sleeping out under the stars at Wadi Ram. Such a friendly group, perfect for solo travellers.

I think firstly, it is important to say, as a solo female traveller, I did have some apprehension about travelling to Jordan and spoke to many friends who had already visited for reassurance. However, once I was off the plane, I realised I didn't need to be apprehensive. I never once felt unsafe in Jordan, nor did we encounter any sign of the ongoing troubles nearby. If anything it was the complete opposite, I walked around Amman and other towns on my own and everyone greeted me like I had known them for years and looked out for me and my fellow travellers. The trip itself encompasses many highlights of Jordan and I'd recommend joining in with all optional activities possible as these add to the experience. I have so many amazing memories to reflect on from this trip (plus a lot of photos of the awe-inspiring landscape). From wandering and climbing around Petra and Little Petra, along with enjoying the Petra by night experience (I would say im average fitness and I filled the optional day by climbing the High Palce of Sacrifice trail, visiting Little Petra in the afternoon and Petra by night, I was tired after but it is doable and worth it). To exploring Wadi Rum where I not only had my first camel riding experience, we also watched the sunset and sunrise - lying out in the desert star gazing in between. There are many more but I'll leave some surprises! If you are lucky enough to have Abdallah as your guide, you will be in for a memory making trip. Kind and compassionate he expertly shares his knowledge and culture with the group, covering topics often avoided by other guides. With his support, our group of 13, Abdallah making it 14, we quickly became friends, had many laughs and awesome experiences. Abdallah went out of his way to ensure everyone was able to maximise the optional activities they wanted to do, ensuring everyone in the group enjoyed their holiday. Though he was not infallible, a tip - before you set off walking, make sure he has his phone with him! We did have a couple of niggles with some of the accommodation, but nothing that affected our stay and Abdallah worked hard to resolve these as fast as he could. Rather than ticking Jordan off my to visit list, I've added Jordan to the return to list as there is so much more to this unique country and I look forward to one day returning.
