Jordan Tours in January 2026

Jordan did not disappoint. Having two full days in Petra allowed good exploration. This included a visit to little Petra. Make sure you go to the Monastery. It’s well worth all the steps. A night in Wadi Rum was enjoyable. Cold in December but plenty of blankets. No one had to use the communal tent. We were the only group at the camp. This may not always be the case. The optional camel ride is fun and I’d recommend it. The jeep rides are bumpy but again good fun and the only way to take in the vast scenery. Make sure you embrace the mud at the Dead Sea. The hotels were all very good. Buffet breakfasts. Food at Wadi Rum was particularly good. Restaurant meals for dinner were about 15 dinar (including drinks). Food good and plentiful. The bus was a little cramped for 15 of us but the driver was excellent and very safe. The guide was very good and passionate about his country. He knows everyone. Jordan felt very safe. An Explore representative meets you in the airport and takes you through immigration. We were lucky with good weather. Sunny and dry all week. Good group of people to share this experience with. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Jordan is a gem! The best destination I've ever been to and I have travelled a lot! A magical adventure! Biblical landscapes, iconic sights, great company, and a perfect pace. Jordan is very safe; the people are warm, and the infrastructure is excellent. I was sad to leave!

Saleh was a remarkable and kind tour leader, nothing was too much trouble for him. Jordan itself is amazing - Petra by night is an absolute highlight, very special indeed!

Trip made far more enjoyable by expertise and friendliness of our tour leader Salah. As well as historical knowledge - Petra, Jeresh etc - it was his local knowledge that made trip stand out for me. I loved his bedouin outlook at desert camp and the way he helped me when I was terrified on the camel trip I chose to go on. I loved the extra bits I did esp Petra by night and boat trip at Aqaba. Was the trip of a lifetime for me and I loved every minute of it, apart from the camel. Hotels friendly and food good. Driver careful and respectful. I was glad I chose the upgraded version as it took the worry away from me and I could just sit back and enjoy everything.

I’ve been on other sightseeing tours before, but nothing like a CharlieTheTraveler tour. I think what separates other trips from this trip to Israel and Jordan that I booked through this company is the group I was with and the tour guide. Our tour guide knew just the right way to make us feel comfortable and safe around her and around each other. She was fun and charismatic but it was obvious she cared about our safety. This made the trip a lot better.

I had a fantastic time on this trip. Our Egyptologist, Alber, allowed my dreams of visiting Egypt to come true with the knowledge and enthusiasm he displayed. Jordan is definitely worth it too, Petra is a jaw-dropping experience!
