Good Trip with variety

I had recently had a seriousbiking accident and so I only road a few days but our guides were wonderful and very understanding. This trip has plenty of down time with history and biking as well. I liked this mix. Jordan at the moment is very quiet because of international views of the Middle East and being so close to Israel, but we had a police escort for some of the trip and felt totally safe and secure. Do not hesitate to do this trip.

We were a small group of like minded travellers. The itinerary was varied which kept it interesting. Our tour leader was superb, nothing was too much trouble and he shared his vast knowledge of the area with us. The accommodation was good and we ate excellent food in local family run restaurants.

The tour was fantastic. The itinerary is perfect with enough time in all locations. We loved Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash! The hotels are comfortable and very well located - especially the one in Petra (very close to the entrance). The tour leader, Abdallah, was very knowledgeable on religious, historical, political and sociological topics - which is a nice change from other tour leaders we have experienced in other countries. He was a typical guide, not just a person taking you from A to B. The only issues were that he was pressuring us to participate in optional activities and his dinner selections were not great. I appreciate he had to plan for a group of 16 but the food was average and expensive in comparison to places we found ourselves, except the first lunch buffet in Jerash which was lovely and worth the money after a busy morning. However, the fish dinner in Aqaba in a crowded and noisy restaurant with other large tourist groups was awful and the food mediocre. I would advise you to pass on this one. Regarding optional activities, Little Petra was a disappointment. We would have preferred doing Petra by night in hindsight but we were too tired after Petra and Little Petra.

This trip exceeded my expectations. Our trip leader, Abdullah, was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. I would thoroughly recommend this trip, particularly at a time when Jordan has seen a big drop in visitor numbers.

An exceptional experience. Each day brought new wonders, every stop on our itinerary proving fascinating. Tour leader Saleh was one of the best guides I have ever met, bringing fresh appreciation to all that we did. A trip not to be missed - and one that I would gladly repeat. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent tour of the highlights of Jordan. Our guide, Abdallah, was very good, funny and took good care of us. The itinerary was full on and requires a good level of fitness, especially if you want to explore Petra. Our accommodation ranged from modern city hotels to a tented camp in Wadi Rum. There were a few issues such as lack of hot water at one hotel and limited electrical outlets at another. Most meals were buffet style with something for everyone. Jordanian food has a lot of vegetables, hummus, **** bread, rice and chicken. We all loved the lemon mint drink which is refreshing. I traveled the first week of April and the weather was still cool in places. Even on warm days, it cools down in the evening. Bring a jacket and a good sweater, a pair of sturdy walking shoes, good hiking pants. There is no need for dressy clothes unless you want something tidier for dinner. A scarf or neck gaiter is handy in the desert. The snorkeling at Aqaba was good but the water was cold. Make sure you rinse off with fresh water after you return to the boat. Take advantage of the optional activities especially the morning camel ride, the longer desert tour and snorkeling. The highlights for me were Jerash, Petra and Wadi Rum as well as meeting the fellow travelers on this tour. We all got along so well. It was a memorable trip.
