day 1Pickup from Delhi & drive to Agra
Our driver will pick you up from your place of choice within Delhi at 8:30 am and drive you to Agra, located 240 kilometers (around four hours) away from the Delhi. Head out to discover the monuments of Agra on reaching the city.
Meet your tour guide after reaching the city. He will show you monuments one by one. Your first visit will be to Agra Fort, built by emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, from where four Mughal rulers controlled their vast empire. Wander around the palaces built by successive emperors, famous amongst which are Jahangiri Mahal, Khass Mahal, Diwan-i-Khass, Diwan-i-Aam, and Moti Masjid.
Up next on the itinerary is the famous Taj Mahal, a Unesco World Heritage site. This beautiful monument of love was built in 1631 AD by emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. You might want to spend the evening enjoying the view of the monument while the sun sets.
Stay overnight at your hotel in Agra. Please note that the Taj Mahal remains closed to visitors on Fridays.
