The unique view of Pamukkale and the balloon tour in Cappadocia were unforgettable memories. The food was just according to my taste. Hotels were at an average level. I had travelled to Greece before, so I didn't see anything new there that surprised me, but I was in Turkey for the first time. It is a beautiful country, far above my expectations.
This tour was perfect for those passionate about ancient history and the evolution of civilizations, all while enjoying stunning landscapes and modern cultures. Our tour guides for Greece and Turkey were exceptional, significantly contributing to the tour's success. They brilliantly intertwined the contemporary and ancient histories of both countries. The food was delicious, and the hotels often surpassed our expectations.
Great countries, great cities, a great group and a great team. I felt like Alice in Wonderland.
Had a great (although tiring) few weeks in Turkiye and Greece with a Eskapas. We'll be back in touch with Eskapas soon to lock in our next trip. :)
Impressive tour covering highlights of both countries. The guide's local connections gave us unique experiences. Some long travel days, but the coach was comfortable. Food was a delightful part of the cultural experience.
The hotels were generally better than I expected. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I can't imagine a better tour for getting to know Turkey and Greece more closely in such a limited time. Thanks to everyone involved. Note: I'd like to give special thanks to Yilmaz, who was our driver during the Turkey leg of the tour.
Unforgettable trip through two fascinating countries. The balloon ride was worth every penny. Our guide handled a diverse group with ease. Some accommodations were more basic than expected, but the locations were always excellent.
The hotels on this tour were a pleasant surprise. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and excellent service throughout. The staff at each location went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A great night's sleep after each day's adventures! Beyond the hotels, the tour's pacing was just right, allowing us to see major sites without feeling rushed. The local guides' knowledge added depth to each visit, making the historical sites come alive.
Pleasantly surprised by this tour. Highlights were Cappadocia's landscapes and the Acropolis in Athens. Food was generally good, especially loved the Turkish breakfasts. Appreciated the balance of guided tours and free time. Good value for money.
The hot air balloon tour in Cappadocia was unforgettable. The hotels were generally centrally located, which made it easy for me to explore on my own during free time. We had the opportunity to taste local cuisines, and I especially loved the Turkish mezes. The tour program was intense but well-planned. I definitely recommend it for culture and history enthusiasts!
I participated as a single woman over seventy years old. Before the tour, I had some reservations, especially about keeping up with the pace. However, this tour didn't strain me. Either I'm getting younger, or it was a very well-planned tour. I prefer to believe the former :) I'd also like to mention the food. I'm an American who mainly eats meat. Faced with the variety of Turkish and Greek cuisine, I felt the need to try every dish and fell in love with the vegetarian meals! If I had joined such a tour at a younger age, I would definitely have reconsidered my eating habits. I recommend it to everyone.
This was a tour for individuals interested in the ancient world and civilisation's past, as well as enjoying stunning landscapes and present cultures in these countries. The tour guides, one for Greece and one for Turkey, were flawless. The cuisine was the Mediterranean diet on steroids, and the hotels well exceeded our expectations. We were glad we were on a smaller group tour (with 18 other Australians) because there are many more possibilities for exploring than on larger group tours. We'd want to thank the team for working together to provide us with this wonderful experience.
The driver's good command of English and his expertise in his job ensured that the 11-day tour went very smoothly and without any issues. Driver Ali prevented many potential small problems before they even occurred. The guides were also very knowledgeable, especially about history, and had proactive personalities. The accommodation was comfortable and as it should be. The meals were varied. I didn't have a favorite dish except for the seafood. As I'm a picky eater, I wasn't very satisfied with the food, but overall it was a tour I can recommend.
My wife and I had an incredible time on this Turkey and Greece tour! The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to see so much in just 11 days. Istanbul was a highlight - the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are breathtaking. Our guide in Cappadocia was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the unique landscape come alive. The hot air balloon ride over the fairy chimneys was unforgettable! The transition to Greece was smooth, and Athens did not disappoint. The Acropolis tour was informative, and the Saronic Islands cruise was a perfect way to relax towards the end of our trip. Throughout the tour, the accommodations were comfortable and well-located. We particularly enjoyed the cave hotel in Cappadocia. The only downside was that some days felt a bit rushed, but that's understandable given how much we covered. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd highly recommend!
Unforgettable trip! The Saronic Islands cruise was breathtaking. Our driver in Greece was friendly and punctual. Hagia Sophia in Istanbul left us in awe. Wish we had more free time in some locations, but understood given the packed itinerary. Would do it again!
This tour was a history buff's dream come true. Our guide Ayshe's knowledge of ancient civilizations was impressive, bringing sites like the Acropolis to life. The Turkish breakfasts were a daily treat. I was amazed by the diversity of landscapes. While some days were tiring, the experiences were well worth it. Highly recommended!
A well-organized tour showcasing the best of Turkey and Greece. Hotels were generally good, though a couple were basic. Our driver was skilled, especially on mountain roads. Turkish breakfasts became a group favorite. Some long travel days, but the diverse experiences made up for it. A journey that will stay with us for years to come!
This tour sparked a deeper interest in ancient history for me. I've been reading up on the regions since I got back. A truly educational experience! The guides' passion for history was contagious, and they recommended several books that I've since purchased. It's amazing how much the tour has enriched my understanding of both modern and ancient cultures in these regions.
Didn't expect to learn so much! The guides brought ancient sites to life with their stories. The long bus rides were comfortable thanks to our skilled driver and the well-maintained coach.
I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Greece, the cradle of Western democracy. The tour provided an excellent overview of ancient Greek culture and its lasting influence. Our knowledgeable guide brought the historical sites to life, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Turkey... another beauty... It is a unique, uniquely different place to savour its beauty and experience its delicious cuisine.
