Great leader and bus driver. The accommodation was wonderful. Information by our leader Peter was outstanding.
We were a small group ,our guide Peter gave us a lot of information about the places we visited. The accommodation was excellent and food amazing. Great tour
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide Peter and driver Paddy made a great team. Peter's wea!th of knowledge, storytelling and ability to keep us entertained was amazing. We stayed in beautiful old hotels with first rate amenities and wonderful breakfast each morning. So much history was brought to life for us! Can't wait to try another tour with Blue-Roads.
What a lovely way to see the best of Southern Ireland. Our tour guide Carolyn and bus driver Paddy were just the best and couldn't have looked after us any better. Their local information of all the places we visited was amazing and we felt very safe in Paddy's hands
Tour guide *Personal information removed by Feefo* was excellent, and very informative, *Personal information removed by Feefo* the driver couldn’t have been better. All the places we visited we very much enjoyed especially the National Stud. Our local guide in Kinsale very impressive. Hotels and food all top class, porterage most welcome. The only downside was a guide “shadowing” *Personal information removed by Feefo*, *Personal information removed by Feefo*, who was thoroughly obnoxious, arguing with my wife about her daughters’ illness, giving us information just before *Personal information removed by Feefo* did, shaking his head and rolling his eyes at everything she told us and constantly checking/texting on his mobile. Apparently he is the world expert on everything under the sun, according to him. We, and the rest of the passengers, kept changing seats to ensure no one had to sit next to him. As long as he wasn’t the guide we would happily book another Irish tour.
It was a great tour. We saw lots of different places with a tour leader who was informed, professional and easy to get along with. The addition of a shadow tour guide wasn’t such a good idea. He was disrespectful of the tour guide and spent an inordinate about of time on his phone. He reminded me of my teenage grandchildren
An excellent, short tour of Ireland that gives a good overall glimpse of some of the major offerings of the southern half of the island of Ireland. The timings are very relaxed, and there is plenty of time on each day to enjoy the locality of the towns we visit. This is helped by the good quality and location of the hotels we stayed at. Another night in Kinsale or Waterford would have been wonderful. Peter
Our Guide Caroline was an absolute pleasure
Everything you would like to see in a tour of Southern Ireland. Our tour guide Liam was excellent and the driver did a great job. I particularly enjoyed the National Irish Horse Stud and the Titanic exhibition. So many wonderful things to see and do.
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Southern Ireland, and would recommend the company. Our tour manager Liam was excellent, kind and considerate. Our driver was also excellent with a great sense of humour. It was only 6 days but a most enjoyable 6 days. Thank you.
I would highly recommend this tour. Liam was the most amazing tour guide. His caring, his knowledge went above and beyond. Liam took so much care of each and every one of us throughout every step of the journey. Liam made sure that every detail was taken care of before we arrived, especially as we had our mother who is nearly 80. Every hotel was incredible. The hotels were next level. Absolutely thrilled with this excursion.
My first time in Ireland. A great introduction, with wonderful tour guide and excellent hotels. A good mix of town and country with spectacular scenery along the way.
A wonderful set of experiences seeing the natural beauty of Ireland, of learning of Irish history (both happy and sad), very comfortable hotels each night, and an evening watching the Irish dance performance Celtic Steps. Our guide Bernard was a wealth of information. Our driver Paddy gave us a comfortable and safe ride; I would trust my grandchildren to ride with him. I'd give this my highest recommendation!
The Irish are wonderful, friendly people. The tour showed us plenty of beautiful scenery as well as plenty of cultural immersive experiences (sheepdog trials and Celtic Steps dance and music). The hotels where we stayed were all very comfortable and sometimes quite luxurious. Porterage was handled well and efficiently. The tour guide Bernard was fabulous and went out of his way to show us additional sights (Such as Titanic museum in Cobh & Silverware factory and Fashion museum in Waterford). He was very kind, thoughtful, entertaining and informative. We all felt safe with our coach driver Paddy at the wheel. All said, I thoroughly enjoyed my Blue-Roads tour of Ireland and would be happy to do another tour with this group!
We learnt so much about Southern Ireland and its history from a very informative tour guide. The best part of our Back Roads tour was that we got see, visit and stay at many places you would not normally visit.
The Corners of Ireland Tour was excellent. We saw so many beautiful sites and the had other adventures like Molly McGalvins working farm and sheep herding dogs demonstrates. We stayed in top tier hotels and felt spoiled by the staff. We were especially lucky to have Bernard Duff as our tour leader. He was so organized, diligent, informative, and most of all kind. He along with our bus driver Paddy made sure we were well taken care of and entertained at the same time. They helped to create a real sense of family among the travels. I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was very friendly, courteous, and attentive to the needs of all members of the tour. He provided much information about Ireland such as history, culture, natural settings, etc. He made the tour fun and helped us all connect with each other in a wonderful way.
A great trip. - definitely travelling back roads ( which is great) It’s a small bus, and could be uncomfortable for those with long legs as the seats are very close together. Wi Fi would be helpful on the bus. Hotels were all top quality, and the tour leader & driver were professional, friendly and caring.
A very well organised tour , Tom Blake was an Excellent guide and paddy was a very good driver, The accomodation was really good and we throughly enjoyed the whole experience Many thanks Ian and Chris patterson
Our guide, Bernard was really terrific. He very knowledgable and also very amusing and kind. John our driver was competent and also very kind. They made a good team. The locations chosen were all interesting, the hotels of a very good standard and the whole tour was very efficiently organized. We will certainly recommend Blue Roads Tours to our friends.
Well planned, excellent accommodation, comfortable coach, great tour guide and driver. Great places of interest with good background information.
Jeanne and I were looking for a tour that would give us a real insight into our Irish heritage. We found that Blue Roads, Back Roads Southern Ireland Tour delivered on that promise. The hotels, breakfasts, and the three dinners were all very delicious and the staff in these facilities were all very welcoming and professional. The hidden gem on this tour is Bernard who is a first-class tour guide and John our driver who both exemplifies the Irish Hospitality Personality.
Really enjoyed my week with Liam & Paddy. They both did a brilliant job to make the tour a great experience.
My husband and I took the Corners of Southern Island tour in mid-May. I had visited Ireland twice before but it was my husband's first visit. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The tour guide, Bernard Duff, was incredibly versed in Irish history which he shared with us each morning. In addition to this, his personality and demeanor were so welcome and warming that he kept us laughing much of the time. Most of the sites on the tour were new to me, and there were several times when Bernard decided to make an unscheduled stop. Most impressive was our stop at the Cliffs of Kerry. This came the day after our visit to the Cliffs of Moher and the Cliffs of Kerry were, to me, even more impressive than the Cliffs of Moher. We covered a LOT of territory on this trip. I am grateful, too, to Dan Brennan who was our driver. He exhibited impressive skills and patience during the trip. All of our accommodations were lovely, especially the Cahernane in Killarney and Faithlegg in Kilkenny...truly 5 star properties. While our time at each stop was fairly limited, for those seeking an overview of central and southern Ireland this is a great tour. Tim Hackett
Just a wonderful experience with a very small tour group. The tour guide was the best 👌
