Dublin - Rock of Cashel - Cobh. We begin our 7-day adventure in Dublin, travelling south to Cobh in County Cork - a picturesque harbour town where the final 123 Titanic passengers boarded before the ship’s ill-fated voyage. En route, we stop at the magnificent Rock of Cashel, a medieval stronghold rising dramatically from the landscape. With our guide, we explore its ancient round tower, Cormac’s Chapel, and striking cathedral and castle — the perfect place to capture our first group photos.
Continuing through scenic County Cork, we arrive at the renowned Midleton Distillery. Dating back to the 17th century, it's home to some of Ireland’s finest whiskies. We enjoy a guided tour, lunch, and a few cheeky samples before heading to Cobh for the night. With its colourful houses, stunning harbour views, and lively pubs, it’s the ideal place to unwind after a day on the road.

Cobh - Blarney Castle - Kenmare - Waterville. This morning, we tick off a classic Irish rite of passage — kissing the Blarney Stone. Said to bestow the “gift of the gab”, it’s a fun and memorable stop at Blarney Castle, where we also explore the lush grounds, gardens, and mythical Rock Close.
From here, we journey west into County Kerry and visit charming Kenmare, gateway to the Ring of Kerry. This legendary drive offers breathtaking views of rugged coastlines, lakes, and misty mountains. After completing the full loop, we settle into the seaside village of Waterville, its harbour lights welcoming us as we prepare for tomorrow’s island adventure — or a relaxed day on the mainland for those who prefer.
Total driving time: 3 hours and 45 minutes
Waterville - Skellig Michael - Killarney. Today brings an unforgettable journey to Skellig Michael — a remote, dramatic island once home to ancient monks and more recently, Jedi knights. Its beehive huts and ocean vistas make it truly otherworldly. For those who’d rather stay ashore, we explore Derrynane House, the ancestral home of Irish statesman Daniel O’Connell. Set among rolling dunes and near Caherdaniel Strand, the house offers insight into Ireland’s political past, complete with fairy lore, beach walks, and an ancient Ogham Stone.
Later, we enjoy a peaceful walk along Bray Head, soaking up views of the Skelligs and Valentia Island, before making our way to Killarney — our base for the night and the cultural heart of Kerry.
Total driving time: 1 hour and 45 minutes
A day to enjoy Killarney’s natural beauty at a gentler pace. We begin by kayaking across the lakes of Killarney National Park, paddling past Ross Castle and into peaceful woodlands and caves. Later, there’s time to explore more of the Ring of Kerry, including Torc Waterfall and Muckross House.
The afternoon is yours to relax. Enjoy a pint, tap your toes to live traditional music, browse local shops, or perhaps join an optional brewery tour.
Killarney - Cliffs of Moher - Doolin/Spanish Point. This morning, we’re treated to a traditional sheepdog demonstration — a captivating display of teamwork between farmer and dog that leaves many of us spellbound. Then it’s off to County Clare by ferry, where we explore the wild beauty of the Burren and visit the iconic Cliffs of Moher. With the Atlantic crashing below, we follow an off-the-beaten-path hike led by a local guide who reveals secret trails and breathtaking views.
We finish the day in one of Clare’s characterful villages — either the musical hub of Doolin or Spanish Point, known for its dramatic coastline and laid-back charm.
Total driving time: 3 hours 30 minutes
Doolin - Inis Oirr - Galway. We sail from Doolin to Inis Oirr, the smallest and most remote of the Aran Islands. With its peaceful lanes, Gaelic-speaking locals, ancient ruins, and white-sand beaches, it feels like a step back in time. We explore by bike before returning across Galway Bay — with spectacular sea views of the Cliffs of Moher rising behind us.
Arriving in Galway, we’re swept up in the energy of this bohemian city. Musicians and street performers line the cobbled streets, and there’s always a lively pub, an indie shop, or a new corner to discover. The perfect place to end the day — or start the night.
Total driving time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Galway - Dublin. We ease into our final morning exploring Galway’s cobbled streets, soaking up its bohemian charm one last time. There’s time to browse for souvenirs — perhaps a Claddagh ring or soft wool shawl — and to dive deeper into the city’s rich medieval history and lively street culture.
In the afternoon, we make our way back to Dublin, sharing memories and laughter as the Irish countryside rolls by. If you're staying on a bit longer, your guide will be happy to offer tips on what to see and do next.
