Self-drive tour. Suggested itinerary:
Drive towards the Puna (Altiplano), following the trail of the "Train to the Clouds" until reaching San Antonio de los Cobres. Then head north, driving all the way across the Altiplano until reaching Salinas Grandes (Salt fields). After the Salt fields, descend to Purmamarca through the picturesque and steep Cuesta de Lipán. Overnight in Purmamarca.
Self-drive tour. Suggested itinerary:
“Quebrada de Humahuaca” (Humahuaca's Gorge) with its small villages, colorful hills and picturesque houses, such as Tilcara, Uquía, and Humahuaca. If you have time, you can also visit El Hornocal, one of the most colorful hills in the north.
Self-drive tour. Suggested itinerary:
Visit the remote "Laguna de los Pozuelos" and enjoy the views of the Pink Flamingos (make sure it's the right season to see them).
Shared transfer from Humahuaca to Iruya. This is not included, but you can get the tickets right there. We suggest doing it in a transfer instead of driving because the road is dangerous. You can leave the car at the hotel or a parking lot in Humahuaca.
Return to Humahuaca, pick-up your car (unless you have driven to Iruya with the car instead of the transfer) and drive to Tilcara.
Return with your car to Salta city and relax.

Descend from the Altiplano towards Cafayate, through “de las Flechas” gorge, a very peculiar road surrounded by arrow-like rocks. Arrival in Cafayate: the wine region of the Northwest of Argentina.
Self-drive tour. Suggested itinerary:
After a relaxing morning in Cafayate, around noon, you can start the way back to Salta City through “de las Conchas” gorge, passing by its natural monuments (such as the "Anfiteatro", the “Garganta del Diablo”, etc).
