This was our third trip with Tafalgar, and as, usual Trafalgar did not disappoint us :-). The Best of Morocco trip is absolutely outstanding. The variety of experiences you get across the culture, and during the 15-city visit cannot be accomplished on your own. The overnight stays were a great variety, and the Sahara dessert over night tent experience is so memorable!!!! We loved the entire experience from start to finish! From the beach to the capital to the desert to the cave to the modern day city, to even where they ride donkeys! What fun! What culture! What amazing, memorable, picture-worthy moments! Plus, the food was a good variety. In short, trust me. This trip is worth it :-). Our Travel Director was with us every step of the way!! She too was great. Thank you, Trafalgar.
Too fast paced. Mostly one night stays. Many days filled with many hours on the bus traveling from one hotel to the next. That in turn meant unpacking at night and repacking luggage the next morning. Plus the luggage had to be out of our room for pick up between 7 to 8 depending on the date. Some hotels were dirty. Some ok and some great. Problems with stingy supply of toilet paper, towels and air-conditioned rooms. The guide we had needed to retire or be retrained. Almost every day he hardly gave us any particulars such as a schedule. Never told us when to expect a rest stop, times and length of tours, not even if they were strenuous. People had heart conditions! Never assisted people who had food allergies or concerns. In a nutshell he was awful! But the sights we did see were interesting! Even on the heat!
It was a remarkable journey of different terrains. I took three of my four children & their spouses plus my oldest granddaughter. What a great family trip. The reason for the trip was that I had lived in Casablanca 70 years ago. We lived in the Hotel Belrive for 6 mos.q before finding housing. The tour director,, stopped at the Hotel & my family got to go in & take a photo. A special moment for me.
Mixed feelings with itinerary.
The itinerary was made all the more interesting and exciting by our tour guide *personal info removed by Feefo* A few 2 night stops would have been worthwhile to slow down the constant packing up. Otherwise we Lo ex the experience of getting to know Morocco a little better
It certainly was the "best of Morocco". Our guide was superb - perfect command of English and she had minute details of every area that we visited; very personable and always eager to please. Any difficulty that arose - she was on top of. The local guides were also excellent, as was our bus driver. I could not have asked for a better trip.
Hotels were excellent. Too much traveling by bus. Not well informed. Trafalgar plays with words. You are able to see certain sites so Trafalgar checks the box, but not go in, take photos, etc. Best part of trip was Sahara. All Trafalgar did was take us there for the night. No option in morning for a camel ride, dine bungee rides on sand. Guide did not have any instructions for free time, such as highlight areas, restaurants near hotel. Guide was nice, pleasant, but not helpful of informative. Trafalgar needs to give guided ability to brevity a little if passengers agree.
It’s was excellent all around. Definitely would recommend the tour. Our tour director was excellent, went above and beyond our every need. The coordination with all hotels, optional packages, and daily travel was nothing short of amazing. Well done Sir!
Great, great trip allowing you to truly see the "best of Morocco". Our your director, was the absolute best. Great, clean coach (with AC!) and plenty of room. If there can be any improvements, I would say: - the food, although tasty, was repetitive. The majority of the group could not bear to hear the word "tagine" again - we could have used more time in the Sahara. Since canal rides are prohibited, maybe a sand slide or something fun. Many travelers to Morocco share all these great pics of things to do in the Sahara and we sis not get that experience.
Best of Morocco was jammed packed with so much to see and learn. Our guide and driver was exceptional in getting the group to our destinations safely and timely. This trip was filled with culture and spending the night at the Sahara was an experience on its own. The Xaluca line of hotels were exceptional!!!
I thought the itinerary was excellent, in that it was varied and well organized. I felt we were shown a good balance of the country.
Familiarize yourself with Celsius temps if you use Fahrenheit temps. Also if your older there are lots of steps, you could easily miss one and fall.
The sites and events we were taken to were great. Unfortunately and unavoidably here are a lot of bus miles between them with little to see except desert. Our tour director did his best to fill this time with historic background, music and other entertainment. He made sure we had regular rest stops to stretch and get a bite. As usual our fellow travelers also provided various entertainments, and conversation that helped pass the time. I'm glad we made this trip, although it would have been better to have done it when we were younger.
As good a snapshot of Spain and Portugal we could have hoped for.
Visit cheffchouan / tangier / more time to shop whilst we visiting the souks , Medinah and markets. Too much tagine meals. The first night = arabian night and dinner not great⁰ Taken to places where we can do shopping for good stuff and at reasonable prices
Full of events. We saw as much as possible in a short amount of time. Our guide was fun and informative. The hotels were excellent. The schedule was good.
We saw the extensive and diverse natural beauty of Morocco, from the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, through the Atlas Mountains, to the Sahara. We had the chance to sample local culture and cuisine, and traveled aboard a comfortable coach with our expert tour director. The hotels - with the exception of Casablanca - were fabulous, quite luxurious and beautiful, with gardens and pools and lovely rooms. The pace was fast, but manageable.
Long hours in the bus!!! They take to places to buy stuff! They do t take to the best attraction in Morraco!!! Waist of time and money!
Would like two nights at the Sahara Desert Hotel grey was not acceptable Bus needs a bathroom Tour guide was not informative Had an attitude And did not give any shopping tips or experiences
Excellent trip. Tour guide excellent. Many experiences were only available because of guide.
This itinerary covers long distances and highlights the wide diversity of Morocco! There are long stretches on a very comfortable bus with frequent stops and beautiful landscapes. Our Tour Director, and our Driver did an outstanding job to accommodate emergency situations and special requests from some travelers. Both were courteous, friendly and engaging. The optional tours were absolutely worth it. The additional information regarding local costumes and tips were very helpful, too. With the exception of Fes, most hotel rooms and restaurant service I would rate 3- star, despite the decor and facilities being, in most cases, very impressive. The only two negatives I found were the rushed shopping stops and aggressive high pressure sales tactics from vendors. I also wish there had been more discussion about the history of Morocco, as well as daily life in modern Morocco and issues facing the country today.
This itinerary was an interesting educational immersion into Moroccan culture. From the large cities to the rural countryside to mountains and the Sahara, having the ability to see and speak with people was great. Our tour guide was so interesting and knowledgable ..answering all our questions. All of our hotels were beautiful. Each one with its own personality! The rides did not seem long as we were stopping to see sights on our journey. The night in the Sahara Desert was fantastic!!! Our 'tents' were so nice. It was so much more then I expected. The staff there was very accommodating. The food was outstanding. This was truly a trip to remember! I could not think of anything that could have been added to make this trip better.
The Casablanca hotel was not good.
This was a fast moving itinerary taking in the best Morocco had to offer. Our guide was attentive and took care of all our needs. I'd recommend this trip for anyone who wants different experiences available. The night in Sahara was memorable.
Too much bus time Not sure how to shorten the bus rides but at times it felt like all we did was ride a bus. I think we needed more 2 night stays and maybe skip some stops. Or make some of them optional. For instance the gorge,. it’s obviously a Morocco natural wonder but not really worth the stop as it was so crowded. The dessert experience was disappointing, should have had an option to drive an ATV or camel ride. The SUV ride thru dessert was not enjoyable. The clamping was really good except I smelt septic all night. Strong enough to wake me up several times while trying to sleep.
Great tour Director and bus driver. Some local guides were good and others said nothing or rushed through. The food was fair. Not sure why every meal was essentially the same. Disappointed with the number of hours in the bus and only getting a minute to take pictures rather than actually going g inside. I feel for many sites a tour book gave me the same thing. Why go to a filming studio and not go in, but just stand outside and take a picture. Not in depth enough for me.
