Bali Experience

My holiday to Bali was absolutely incredible. The trip was so well organised, and I genuinely don’t think I could have had such a fun, seamless, and authentic experience without our amazing guide, Ovinda. We started in Canggu, diving straight into the hustle and bustle with fantastic dinners and nightlife that instantly bonded the group. During our free time, Ovinda even organised a ring-making class within minutes — a thoughtful gesture that saved us endless scrolling and left me with a beautiful, personal souvenir. Next, we headed to Ubud, where the scenery was breathtaking and the experiences unforgettable. The Balinese cooking class was a standout (the food was incredible!), and visiting the Monkey Forest was both fun and fascinating. Ovinda took the time to explain the temples and their cultural significance — something she did at every destination with genuine passion and insight. Climbing Mount Batur on my birthday was an absolute highlight. Watching the sunrise from the summit was nothing short of magical. We followed it with a visit to the rice terraces, where I captured my “money shot” on the famous swing — a true bucket-list moment! On Gili Trawangan, we swam in crystal-clear waters, ate delicious local food, and cycled around the island — a simple yet perfect way to explore. Ovinda even surprised me with a birthday cake, making the day feel extra special and heartwarming. From start to finish, the trip was flawlessly organised. The hotels were top quality, the itinerary balanced adventure and relaxation perfectly, and every personal recommendation from Ovinda was spot on. She kept us safe, well cared for, and always smiling — whether we were enjoying a Bintang or unwinding with a massage. The friendships formed and memories made over those ten days will stay with me forever. It truly was the trip of a lifetime — all thanks to and the wonderful Ovinda.

This was my very first solo/group travel trip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience thanks to our incredible tour guide, Song! From the very beginning, Song made me feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited about the journey ahead. What made this trip unforgettable was how Song balanced fun and professionalism so effortlessly. I felt safe, supported, and inspired to enjoy every moment of my first travel adventure. I’m so grateful that my very first trip was guided by someone as amazing as Song—it truly set the bar high for any future journeys. Highly recommend!

This trip was incredible! My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was a perfect experience. Everything was very well organized. The trip itinerary was a perfect balance of fun, culture, adventure, relaxation and night life. The beaches were also amazing!

Song has been so wonderful! He made sure everything ran smoothly, was always open for questions, easy going, and very adaptable. I feel he did a great job with including everyone and ensuring everyone had a chance to do what they wanted. He is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend working with him. A genuine man to be around! The tour was great too! There was balance of relaxed, physical, cultural, and nature activities. The only thing to be aware of is the amount of traffic in the city, it's nothing to do with the hired transport, there is just insane amounts of traffic. An amazing overall experience!

I would highly recommend the 10 day Bali experience to anyone looking to do a guided trip in Bali. This was my first solo trip and I will 100% do another one through TruTravels. Our guide was absolutely fantastic. He was patient with all of our questions, he had brilliant suggestions for restaurants, bars and extra activities. The tour is a great mix of group activities and solo activities.

Song really helped us gel as a group from day 1. He listened to any issues we were having and helped us as much as he could. For me personally, I got badly sunburnt towards the end and he made sure to check in on me and helped get me anything I needed. He was really knowledgable about Bali, being a local. You could easily sit out on any experience you weren’t interested in and he gave really good food suggestions/extra activities to do in free time. The itinerary was a good mix of activities, sightseeing, and downtime. You could really make what you wanted out of your time.

Song is such a good guide because of his kindness, open heart and funny side the he showed us. He always had a good plan for the evenings/nights and an open ear if someone needed it. We had a really good time with him :)

Throughly enjoyed this tour and Bali itself! Lots of fun activities —wide variety from temples, to surfing! And many extra optional activities also such as ring making and white water rafting, we also paid to climb mount batur! The tour guide was very informative and fun!

Trip has been amazing. Just great to turn up with your bags packed and head out with a tour guide. Everything was planned really well and it's a good way to experience a small amount of what the country has to offer.

G and Ilham were incredible tour leaders, they were very inclusive of everyone shared their time equally between the group. They are both kind, generous and caring people who always took care of each of us no matter the situation. They made us feel safe and gave us all the best experience. They are lots of fun and can’t wait to see them again one day!

The trip to Bali was amazing. We did a lot of activities and the group and the leader was also very good. It definitely was a unforgettable experience.

It’s an excellent introduction to Bali and the islands of Indonesia. Good balance between the cities and the islands. The highlight of the trip would definitely be the cooking class! Would definitely recommend it if you want to see what Indonesia is all about!

Recently did the 10 day Bali Experience, which is my third tour through this tour opearator. Rizky our tour guide was really great, always very accommodating for the group and made sure we had the best time. Bali was beautiful, tour is more suited to people who may want to enjoy the nightlife and do less in the day. However, watch out when going in the sea/ Bali belly as this had a large impact on the majority of our group, being ill for a few days. Also, personally I wouldn’t say a backpack is necessary for this particular tour.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Bali with our incredible guide G! From the moment we met, his friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. He was not only knowledgeable about the local culture and history but also had a fantastic sense of humor that kept the energy high throughout the day. Whether it was sharing interesting stories or cracking jokes, he made the whole experience fun and engaging. G was also super helpful and was always willing to help if needed. He constantly checked in on us and kept us informed about the activities that we had scheduled. On another note, i did not like that we had to cover the costs for the travel from the gili islands back to the airport. I feel that tru travels have included this in the overall cost of the tour. Other than that, I enjoyed myself and would travel with them again in the future.
