This easy-paced tour ensures both adults and children enjoy every destination, from cycling the colorful streets of the capital to sailing close to the sheer wall of a glacier.

Explore Iguazu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides, marveling at their sheer power and beauty, before delving into local culture with guided tours tailored for all ages. The itinerary has been carefully planned to balance discovery and relaxation, ensuring everyone in the family feels included and engaged.

The unique selling point of this tour package lies in its family-centric approach—each activity and destination is chosen to delight travelers of all ages, creating an adventure that is as educational as it is exciting. For families seeking a memorable trip that captures Argentina’s highlights in a fun, easygoing way, this is the perfect choice.

day 1 - Welcome to Buenos Aires

We will meet you on arrival in Buenos Aires at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Eze Airport) and drive you to your hotel in the city (private transfer). No matter how early you land in the morning, your room will be ready for you upon arrival: early check-in guaranteed.

Our Argentina Challenge Adventure Kit, which we will give you on reaching the hotel, is the perfect tool for you to engage with your children and find out the places you will visit and the people you will meet during this trip.

Next, it is time for a walking orientation tour around the neighborhood. Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and, over the course of two hours, take you around the neighborhood. Depending on your hotel’s location and your personal interests, you can choose to explore either the northern area of the capital, the aristocratic face of the city that is filled with magnificent architecture, or the green space and bohemian culture of a hip area in the city.

Enjoy unscripted moments of random chit-chats with your tour guide as well as with the locals you meet along the way! The icing on the cake will be tasting our world-famous ice-cream! We recommend trying the dulce de leche flavour. You won’t go back to vanilla after that. By the end of this tour, you will have acquired a clearer picture of the neighborhood and the people who call it home. Plus, you won't have difficulty finding the nearby supermarkets, pharmacies and money exchange centres if you need them.

Why your kids will love it

Why are there graffitis everywhere? And why do people move their hands like crazy when they talk? Your kids will be glad to have a new person (besides mom and dad) to answer their various queries and calm their curious minds. Your local guide specializes in family trips and will be more than pleased to answer their questions in a friendly manner.

Why you will love it

This is a personalized tour that allows you to discover a portion of the city at your own pace. Your tour guide will take into account the interests of each member of your family while carrying out this trip.

day 2 - History of Buenos Aires & city tour on a bike

Continue exploring Buenos Aires in a private car during this five-hour historic tour and discover the city’s ornate architecture. We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you around to see some of the most important highlights of the city.

Your tour guide will tell you the fun facts behind the color of the presidential palace (it is pink), the reason that houses in La Boca are so colorful and many more.

Visit San Telmo, the oldest residential neighborhood in the city that is known for its classic cobblestone streets, and La Boca, where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present. Enjoy walking through Caminito Street and dance with the locals if you want to.

If you’re a soccer enthusiast, you will learn all about Argentina’s favorite fútbol (soccer) teams. Why is soccer such a passion for Argentinians? Well, only a true Argentinian can answer that question. Continue with your cultural immersion while chatting with the locals and delve into the city's fascinating past. We will drive you back to your hotel after the tour is over.

Time to explore the city on two wheels. Starting from Palermo district in the afternoon, this bicycle tour will take you to northern Buenos Aires, where you will see the famous Recoleta Cemetery, Floralis Generica ( a sculpture made of steel and aluminium), and the biggest green areas of Buenos Aires.

Stop at Recoleta Cemetery and leave your bikes to walk through the amazing tombs and mausoleums, 90 of which have been declared historical monuments. Dare your kids to find the exact place where one of our first female political leaders, the legendary Evita Perón, rests. This cemetery also has the tomb of David Alleno, the cemetery keeper who saved money his whole life in order to be buried with the most important characters of Argentine history.

Continue your bike ride to the park that houses the incredible Floralis Generica, the giant metallic flower of Buenos Aires, where you can stop to have some snacks while watching the breathtaking sculpture actually move!

From there, we will continue our journey on bike to Palermo Woods, the biggest green area in Buenos Aires, where you’ll have a close-up view of the beautiful planetarium and enjoy a typical Porteño lunch from one of the many food trucks spread all over the area.

We’ll bring you back to the starting point after five hours of family fun. There is an optional tango show with dinner in San Telmo tonight. Please let us know if you want to book this option.

Why your kids will love it

Your kids will have a lot of fun watching the street performers and tango dancers in Caminito, discovering the spooky alleys of Recoleta Cemetery, and biking the city with Mom and Dad.

day 3 - Argentina’s rural culture: Estancia El Ombú de Areco

Argentina is famous worldwide for its fútbol players, but also for the vastness of its Pampas, that endless land at the edge of the horizon which is still home to the descendants of the first gauchos (Argentine cowboys) who still care for and work the land as their ancestors taught them to.

There are still some estancias (ranches) that preserve the gaucho tradition and are located in picturesque towns not far from Buenos Aires. One of the most alluring estancias is El Ombú de Areco, a colonial-style working ranch built in 1880 that is located in the town of San Antonio de Areco.

Today, we’ll pick you up from your hotel for a nine-hour trip to this ranch. Learn more about the gaucho tradition, stroll around the beautiful old streets and see ancient pulperías (grocery stores) in San Antonio de Areco before heading to El Ombú.

Once you’re in the estancia, enjoy a typical asado (barbecue) before either a horseback ride in nature or a relaxing bike ride. For those who like to take things slow while on vacation, there is a peaceful swimming pool (only available in summer) and relaxation areas where you can take la siesta (an afternoon nap). At the end of the day, we’ll take you back to your hotel in Buenos Aires.

Why kids will love it

They will enjoy the many available activities as well as free time to explore a totally new place. Learning about cowboy traditions will be interesting but to witness the tight bond between a gaucho and his horse in a unique spectacle called doma India (a non-aggressive form of horse training) will be more fun.

Why you will love it

Walking through the old town in San Antonio de Areco will be like taking a time machine back to the colonial era. Also, the comforting facilities of El Ombú will provide adults with some quality relaxation time to unplug from the rapid pace of daily life.

day 4 - From Buenos Aires to Patagonia: El Calafate

We will pick you up from your hotel in Buenos Aires and drive you to the airport for your flight to El Calafate. Meet our representative on arrival and take a private transfer to your hotel. You are free for the rest of the day unless you decide to book an optional tour.

El Calafate is the starting point for adventure seekers who want to discover the natural wonders of Patagonia, like the Perito Moreno Glacier. But is El Calafate only about the glaciers? Well, yes and no. Though glaciers are the main attraction, travelers also have plenty to discover about Argentina’s rural, indigenous culture.

Please note that there is an optional tour that delves into the rural life and estancias of Patagonia today. In case you book this tour, you will leave El Calafate behind and drive 90 minutes to Glacier National Park and make your way to Nibepo Aike Ranch on reaching there. This is the only ranch in the area that has maintained the traditions of sheep shearing and Hereford cattle breeding as its primary focus.

Enjoy an inviting hot drink and a delicious snack in the classic quincho (rustic dining room)! Walk the coast of Lago Argentino, watch how a real gaucho works the shearing shed and view a unique demonstration of gaucho horsemanship. Depending on the day’s activities, you might get the chance to help milk the cows, herd sheep or learn the history behind the founders of the estancia.

Why your kids will love it

The kids have a variety of outdoor activities to choose from. They will also get to taste some homemade traditional dishes— the perfect time to leave hamburgers and french fries behind!

Why you will like it

This is your chance to discover the famous, wild Patagonian landscapes, get in touch with the locals and enjoy a delicious asado (barbecue).

Accommodation:3 Star Hotel at Cauquenes de Nimez
Meals:Breakfast

day 5 - El Calafate: Mayo Channel and Perito Moreno Glacier

Start off the day with a pickup at your hotel and travel to Puerto Bandera to embark on an eight-hour nautical safari where you’ll discover the secluded glaciers and waterfalls of Glacier National Park that can only be reached by boat!

Sail Mayo Channel and disembark at Toro Bay to hike through a Patagonian forest. Your specialized guide will tell you about the vegetation of this area (very different from other varieties inside the park) and show you the ancient cherry tree and its ten-foot-diameter trunk. Tell your kids that they can call it El Abuelo (grandpa), as locals have nicknamed it, and prepare yourselves to discover a waterfall!

Next, set sail toward Cerro Negro (Black Hill), where you’ll do a soft, half-mile hike to the base of the hill to admire the massive Black Glacier. Enjoy your free time in this place that not many travelers have seen before heading for the famous Perito Moreno Glacier.

As the boat passes by the immense, icy wall, put on your beanie and grab your camera because you may see a piece of ice breaking off and crashing into the water below!

Disembark at Puerto Moreno, where you have free time to wander across the traditional catwalk circuit that surrounds the glacier before sailing back to Puerto Bandera. Stop by the Glaciarium Museum on your way back to El Calafate and learn more about the history of the glaciers and their first explorers.

Interactive screens, a synchronized projection and the natural sounds of ice caves playing throughout the museum’s hall will totally immerse you into the fascinating history of glaciers. At the end of your tour, visit the fascinating Ice Bar, where you can take a sip from a glass made completely of ice. We’ll drive you back to El Calafate at the end of today's trip.

Why your kids will love it

The boat trip is a thrilling and memorable part of the El Calafate trip, especially for your young ones! They will feel like little sailors and explorers trying to discover a new place. Plus, this tour is the perfect combination of short navigations and hikes, which will keep little explorers entertained and active. The superhero capes, gloves and boots they will have to wear in order to enter the Ice Bar at the Glaciarium Museum will be the perfect end to a day full of fun!

Why you will love it

In addition to amazing landscapes, you’ll enjoy the comforts of free-flowing tea and medialunas (Argentine croissants) on board the boat. Also, you’ll see the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier up-close, passing right by its huge ice wall, and end your day with a visit to a modern multimedia museum.

day 6 - Leisure time in Calafate

You have a free day in El Calafate today. However, if you are in a mood to visit another El Calafate highlight, we have an optional trip to Alice Ranch in Cerro Frías.

This ranch still maintains its traditional activities, cattle, and its natural guanaco reserve. You can enjoy any of the activities offered at the ranch, from 4×4 rides to horseback riding and gliding down South America’s longest zipline. The ranch has options for people of all age and interests.

However, if you prefer to stay in town, we suggest that you stop by Laguna Nimes, an ecological reserve that hosts 80 different types of birds, including the Chilean flamingo, and includes a fun, little hike that’s perfect for kids!

day 7 - From Calafate to Iguazú

It is time to visit one of the world's most famous waterfalls. We’ll pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate today and drive you to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazú. Transfer to your hotel on landing and check in.

Take your time and settle in. Check out the facilities (most hotels in Puerto Iguazú have a pool) and explore your surroundings.

Cooking your first Argentine meal

Included on the itinerary today is a four-hour cooking class and dining experience where you will learn all about our traditional dishes in a cozy (and hidden) restaurant in downtown Puerto Iguazú. Make your way to the restaurant where our bilingual guide will be waiting to greet you.

Get all dressed up in your professional chef outfit and try preparing your first Argentine cocktail with delicious malbec wine (and its non-alcoholic version). Next, taste some appetizers and get ready for an empanada contest. Try your hands at filling empanadas the proper way and hone your repulgue skills (repulgue refers to the way empanadas are closed and sealed).

Learn to ask for your desired steak in Spanish. Your passionate hosts will tell you all about Argentine social customs involving meals. Then sip some maté and make alfajores de maicena (sandwich cookies overflowing with dulce de leche) before it is time to return back to your accommodation.

Why your kids will love it

Your kids will have a lot of fun during the hands-on cooking class, preparing their own Argentine dishes, learning to use the traditional metal straw to sip maté and adding some fresh coconut zest to a sweet alfajor.

Why you will love it

Puerto Iguazú is a quaint, relaxing destination to share some quality family time. You will be impressed by the verdant landscape covered in dense vegetation that is visible from the moment you step out of the airport.

The Argentine dinner experience will be the perfect introduction to Argentina’s rich culture as well as a good opportunity to meet other travelers from all around the world. Plus, the cooking class will encourage your children to try new food and expand their palettes.

day 8 - Iguazú Falls (Argentinian side) & ecological navigation

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here. After breakfast, we’ll start this eight-hour-long adventure in the Argentinian side of the Iguazú Falls.

The falls are surrounded by humid, subtropical forests that is home to a variety of different animals and birds. An experienced tour guide will help you spot toucans, coatis (raccoon-like animals), butterflies and more while guiding you through the park to avoid crowds and discover the most awe-inspiring views. There is no man, woman or child who can hide their amazement at one and a half million litres of water (roughly 396,000 gallons) cascading down the heights of over 80 metres every second !

During the day you will walk through the lower and upper walkways that allow visitors to get up close and personal with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Hop aboard a picturesque ecological train that will take you to Devil’s Throat for some really impressive views. Devil’s Throat is the largest of the falls and for many the most spellbinding.

We will take you back to hotel at the end of this exciting trip.

Why your kids will love it

They will get the chance to wander around a myriad of paths and stairways surrounded by dense vegetation, have fun spotting coatis (which are everywhere) and, not to forget, hopping in a boat to explore the area. There are more than 200 waterfalls to discover in the park — welcome to endless fun.

Why you will love it

To start off, this is a stroller friendly tour, so it is ideal for families with little ones. In addition to this, you will see one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders, all the while being assisted by a knowledgeable, local expert. For most people, being in front of the powerful falls is a very touching experience.

day 9 - Iguazú Falls (Brazilian side) – Macuco Boa

Time to cross the border and see more of the falls. Today we’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you on a three-hour-long visit to Parque Nacional Do Iguaçu, where the Brazilian side of the falls is located. Don’t forget to bring your passport!

While other overcrowded tour buses don’t make any stops other than at the park itself, we will take you to Parque Das Aves, an amazing bird park with species from all over Brazil. Here you’ll be able to walk amongst toucans, see butterflies of all sizes and colors and discover birds you’ve never seen before.

The Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls

Parque Nacional Do Iguaçu is located at a walking distance from Parque Das Aves. Once the formalities are over, take a bus and head for the only footbridge inside the park. While Argentina has 80% of the falls on its side, it is from the Brazilian side that you get to enjoy the best views.

Walk around, accompanied by your tour guide, and enjoy the views of the massive waterfalls until you reach Floriano Waterfall, the highlight on this side, and Salto Santa María, where it feels like you’re walking on the water.

Although you’ll be looking into Argentina, your feet will be on the ground in Brazil! Back from the footbridge, you’ll have some free time to use the restrooms, visit the gift shop and take an elevator to an especially high viewpoint if you want to.

Next on the itinerary is Foz do Iguazu National Park. Take one of the buses that connect different areas of the park to the entrance of Macuco Safari Experience. Then hop on an electric truck that will whisk you two miles across the forest.

Enjoy a 20-minute walk accompanied by a specialized guide who will tell you all about the native vegetation and wildlife that you’ll come across. Arrive at the port and embark in inflatable boats, sailing across the river up to the Three Musketeers Falls, where you’ll take part in the famous water baptism that involves getting drenched underneath the cascading falls, an experience that none of your family will ever forget. Return back to the port after one hour and 30 minutes of jungle exploration and drive back to your hotel in Puerto Iguazú on the Argentine side.

Why your kids will love it

The kids will love seeing all of those exotic birds at Parque Das Aves and discovering the immensity of Iguazú Falls by taking an elevator to a high viewpoint. The safari and boat trip will just be the cherry on top of this fun-filled day!

Why you will love it

This is a relaxing excursion, shorter than the previous one on the Argentine side. You’ll get to see a bit of Brazil, which is always an exotic and colorful destination, and have a close-up experience in the jungle in a completely safe and informative way.

Accommodation:3 Star Hotel at Merit Iguazu

day 10 - Iguazú departure & optional tour

We’ll drive you to the airport where your Argentina journey ends. However, if you have some time, we do have an optional jungle experience for you today.

In case you decide to book this tour, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the operative base of Jungle Bike, where a guide will meet you and prepare you to ride bicycles on a mile-and-a-half track, along a gravel road up to Parque Natural Municipal Arroyo Mbocay.

The next section of this experience involves a hike that starts from Don Carlos’ jungle campsite. This native resident of the area will take care of the bikes while you go off on an adventure. You’ll follow the same route that children in the neighborhood take to go play in the jungle, leading you to a purely local, hidden part of Iguazu!

Walking through the jungle, skirting streams and crossing a handmade bridge, you will reach a small waterfall where you can take your first dip of the day.

The path gets steeper after that. So get ready to work up a sweat on your way to discover giant jungle vines. Arrive at Mbocay Fall, which offers an enthralling scenery perfect for taking pictures. After that it is time to return to the Jungle Bike base camp with your bikes.
