This itinerary was the complete package. I was extremely well structured from the first to the last mile. It didn't take long before we blended from a group of international strangers to a gathering of friends let by a most wonderful Tour Director in Denise Lamas. She brought us all together with great stories, cultural insights, and humor. I have already recommended this journey to my friends.

An excellent tour in the Picos de Europa that exceeded my expectations. The six organised walks allowed the group to discover the amazing Picos and experience the variety of terrain. The walks were not easy, but shouldn't trouble fit walkers who are accustomed to walking all day. Our local guide Juan had excellent communication skills and shared his passion for the Asturias region. At the end of each day the group was served a fantastic 3 course meal in the hotel. The preparation of the food and table service was excellent and exceeded what I expected from a relatively small and modest family hotel. I'd highly recommend this walking tour.

I found the itinerary for our Best of Spain and Portugal Tour with Patrick Davis to be exceptional! I appreciated the balance of visiting cities and traditional tourist sites integrated with expieriences in small towns and with family businesses like the olive oil company in Alfartanejo and port producers at the Cava Wine House. I loved having dinner in a family home in Alfartanejo, and I so appreciated the information from local guides like Sergio at the Prado, Lidon in Valencia, and Amada in Barcelona. Patrick Davis was an incredible guide. He explained well the historical significance of the sites, the cities, and the small communities we were visiting, and he did so with stories and slide presentations that made the facts and the cultures we were experiencing come alive. He and our driver, Louis, worked as a team, and they cared for our group so well! Patrick paid attention to details like necessary accommodations and dietary preferences for each of us. He also cultivated a positive and trusting group dynamic. My tour with Insight was deeply enriched by his expertise as a tour guide and leader, and I will travel with Insight again, I'm sure, because of his level of care for the group and the quality of learning I experienced, along with fantastic accommodations and culinary experinces. I could go on, but I think I've made my point that this tour was a magificent experience, and I believe it was enhanced significantly by the quality and character of our tour leader and the local guides that we experienced. We had a great time on this tour of France and Barcelona. We especially enjoyed our dinner at Beatrice’s farm outside of Tours. Lyon was wonderful also. We loved visiting Avignon & would have enjoyed more time there. it would have been nice to see more of the Papal palace. Our hotel in Nice was great and the location was amazing. We took the optional tour to the mountain top village of Saint Paul de Vence & loved it so much. We also loved going to Arles and seeing the Roman ruins and learning about Van Gogh’s time there. During our free time we had a delicious lunch at “the Creperie” sitting by the Gardens once painted by Vincent Van Gogh. As we continued our journey on.. we really loved seeing Carcassone and our hotel location had a fabulous view of the castle. We took a little walk on the bridge after dinner that evening & it was beautiful As we moved on to Spain, we really enjoyed our stop to visit the Salvador Dali museum in Figuero. His art is outrageous. It was really fascinating & crazy! In Barcelona, we got to see the outside of the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral. It was amazing. I only wish we had been allowed to go inside. We loved the optional dinner and. Flamenco performance. The dinner buffet was awesome- so many delicious things to try. And the flamenco performance was fabulous. I am sorry to say though, a very disappointing thing about our time in Barcelona was that we didn’t get to see more of Antoni Gaudi’s works. I wish Trafalgar would replace the optional La Rambla & instead take us to visit Antoni Gaudi’s creations Parc Guell & Casa Batilo. I felt that missing those two things was a huge mistake on this tour- it was really disappointing. The last night on the way to our farewell dinner we got a brief glimpse as the bus drove quickly past Casa Batilo.. It was sad for us. In the brochure one of the pictures they showed was an image of the Casa Batilo, which gave the impression that we would get to really see it. I wish we had known that we weren’t going to see more of Gaudi’s works while we were there. We would have added an extra day to do it on our own.

Beautifully planned and executed from beginning to end. Hotels more than just accommodating; we wanted for nothing. Tour director excellent in knowledge and professionalism—enthusiasm made each day warm and inviting. Local experts carefully selected. Coach driver provided comfort and spotless conditions. I already look forward to my next tour, wherever and whenever that may be. Thank you.

Megan our tour guide was wonderful, she kept us informed on all of the places we went. We would definitely do another trip with her as our guide! I wish some of the places we visited in Spain and Portugal, we had more time in some and less time in others. An overnight stay in Toledo would be fabulous and more time in Evora. Less time at the museum “dos Coches” and more time being able to shop at some of the stores and explore in the places we visited. Favorite was Alhambra it was absolutely Amazing!
