Spain Escorted Tours and Guided Trips

I had never joined a group activity or trip like this before but immediately felt at ease with everyone when we all met. This was largely due to the extremely welcoming attitude and manner of our great guides Miguel, and his highly trusted driver / bike mechanic and co-guide. They worked tirelessly and extremely well together to make this a very highly memorable trip for us all. I had never visited Catalonia before and wanted a mix of good cycling around the area, some basic tourism and the opportunity to experience a range of different Catalan landscapes with some good food and company. I am happy to say that the trip exceeded all my expectations in every way. All the hotel accommodation and hospitality of their staff was excellent, and helped to provide us with a great (and stress-free) holiday experience.

We recently completed the 15-Day Best of Spain & Portugal tour with Insight Vacations, and it truly was the trip of a lifetime. We visited many of the iconic tourist attractions that make Spain and Portugal so special, but what really set this tour apart was the opportunity to experience lesser-known towns, villages, places, and cultural gems that we likely would never have discovered on our own. These unique stops gave us a deeper appreciation for both countries and made the journey feel much more immersive. The pace of the tour was definitely hectic at times, but each day brought a new and exciting experience, whether we were exploring historic cities, visiting charming villages, enjoying local cuisine, or learning about the rich history and culture of the region. There was always something new to discover, and every day added another memorable chapter to our journey.

I very much appreciated the cohesiveness of our group, led by our tour guide Luke. That was a bonus to the travel. Even with some bad weather, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, the meals, although too much food and too late for me, but i also understand that’s the custom. Definitely would recommend to others.

One of the best organised tours I have been on. Having one person running the whole operation gives a smooth integrated experience which can easily be adapted to meet the climatic conditions. Juan Jose is an excellent knowledgeable guide, coach driver and occasional waiter in his hotel ably assisted by his wife.

The trip was excellent from end to end. The places we visited were spectacular. The coach was very comfortable. Our hotels were of high quality and the breakfasts they provided were very good. In particular, our tour director, Helder, was excellent. He kept us informed and on schedule, and he was very entertaining.

We had an amazing time on our Trafalgar Great Iberian Cities tour. Our tour guide, Atakan, was knowledgeable, patient , caring, and made every city come alive with fascinating stories and history. A special thank you to our driver, David, for keeping us safe and taking great care of our luggage throughout the trip.Also credit to our beautiful and kind local tour guides who are so knowledgeable. One of the best parts of the journey was meeting wonderful new friends whose laughter and companionship made the experience even more memorable. They will surely be missed.
