Kalliste. The most beautiful. The ancient Greeks used this name to talk about the allure of Corsica, a veritable heaven on earth that seems to have every wonder of the world on its shores or in its hills. Join us on a cruise to discover the kaleidoscope of blue in the sea waters and the fresh mountain air in the peaks.
A classic walk through the old Armagnac region and the Gers with its landscape dotted with bullrings, bastides and castles interspersed with fields of sunflowers and corn. Traverse the centuries of time and the borders of Europe on the medieval pilgrim trail. In the 9th century, the tomb of the apostle St James was unearthed in Compostela. The site became the focus of a pilgrim trail beginning in France, and crossing northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. This journey, along the Via Podiensis, the French Way of St James, takes pilgrims from Le Puy en Velay to the Pyrenees at St Jean Pied de Port. The route passes a multitude of churches and monasteries, resembling a travelling museum of Romanesque art. Six stages of this historic trail are included in our self-guided walking program in France.
This stage between Lectoure and Aire sur l'Adour takes you through the heart of the Armagnac region. Leaving the limestone coloured landscapes surrounding Lectoure, the trail weaves through the Gers with its open farmland interspersed with historic villages dominated by their cathedrals and churches, bullrings and bastides. Markets with an abundance of local products and fields of corn and vines lay testament to the areas deep connections to the land and the strong gastromomic traditions of the region.

A very good and pleasant tour
Covered a lot of ground
Disappointed about not able to see Bayeux Tapestry.
But perhaps add more time for Normandy to be spent . Instead of the Cathedral .A bit of a rush in Normandy, a lot to take in and emotional time to visit the memorial.
On the whole I enjoyed my trip with a very good knowledgable tour guide Albert and coach driver who kept us safe.

Great and diverse tour of South West France. From the busy cities to coast, Alps and countryside all were fantastic. Great tour guide and driver who were friendly, helpful and informative. Loved the convenience of being dropped close to locations and picked up in the right spot at the end.

This was a very well planned and thought out tour. Our guide (Connie) was engaging and helpful throughout the trip. She prepared in-depth information and graphics to describe each stop in detail. Free time at some stops allowed for individual exploration, before teaming up for group activities.
The food and accommodation provided was above expectation.
Also, the bus was comfortable and the driver very professional.
Overall, it was a fantastic small group tour and I would highly recommend it.

Our guide Manu and our driver Ken ably assisted by Allen, guide in training made our trip smooth, enjoyable, informative and pleasurable. We learnt lots about champagne, how to drink it with appreciation. We went to a family owned vineyard which made the experience intimate and pleasurable. We had a wonderful trip up above Chamonix on the cog railway and then cable car over the glacier. Some of us visited the ice tunnels into the glacier which is shrinking. We visited a family run cheese factory, fascinating and informative especially as there was a large dump of snow outside which stopped our trip across the alps. Ken then took us to another route with striking scenery and winding roads. We visited small villages, one with a weekly market. Manu bought food for a picnic. All our hotels were great - spacious, except for Paris! Hotels were modern, breakfasts were excellent. Our shared evening meals were very good. This trip was made by a good group of fellow travellers who were all travellers, on time, sociable and sharing. The WhatsApp group set up for the trip is still receiving posts from fellow travellers.
