I cannot think of one thing the whole trip was fantastic or tour guide Michela , was so fantastic. You truly felt that you were family. She explained everything told us what we expect ahead of time took care of everyone’s needs and still made it so much fun a bunch of us were in our 70s and upper 70s and did not feel that we couldn’t keep up with the tour because it was done so well I think one of the best vacations that we ever took

Among the sculptures preserved in the castle, you can visit the bust of Emperor Frederick II Hohenstaufen of Swabia limestone, dating from the thirteenth century. Next, visit a historic winery, called the "House of Poison", is the building now known as the "Winery of the Challenge". It was here that was launched the challenge to a duel from 13 italian knights vs 13 French knights, fought in the countryside of the neighboring town of Trani. After the winery, you will discover the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore of the twelfth century, the most important church in Barletta. The cathedral is divided into two parts, the front is typically Romanesque architectural style of the twelfth century, while the final part is of Gothic architectural style of the fourteenth century. The tour will end with a visit outside the palace of baroque architecture called "Della Marra" with paintings of the painter Giuseppe De Nittis and the visit of the bronze giant named Heraclius next to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.

Spotlight on Northern Italy featuring Venice, Verona & the Dolomites

The entire tour was an incredible experience. Every stop was filled with history, culture, architecture and always a culinary jackpot. A few of the many favorites are the Prosecco vineyard visit with a pasta making class instructed by an authentic Nona. The entire group prepared the pasta from scratch and then enjoyed the fruits our labors for dinner. We also had a wonderful evening at the home of an Italian Noble. Although they no longer hold titles, the home or estate had been in the family for over 500 years. Jacopo Shared his families history that dates back over 1000 years. After filling our minds either knowledge and eyes with amazing artwork and design, we were served one of the best meals in life. In short, this experience has me wanting to return to Italy so that I can continue the experience into other areas and maybe just stay forever.

Alberobello's Trulli: Walking Tour

Alberobello's trulli: walking tour

4
Alberobello guided tour will start from the Aia Piccola, UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the heart of the city of the trulli. Trulli are traditional houses built entirely of stone without mortar or cement. Every year thousands of tourists can see the old city and visit the trulli with the tools of rural life in the early 1900s. The visit will take place in the historic center through a path in the narrow streets of the historic center, with a visit to the trulli and neighborhoods of Aia Piccola and Monti. You will visit the ancient church of St. Anthony, the only church in the world to the shape of trullo, opened to the public in June 1927. You'll find the inside of the Sovereign Trullo (housed in the museum) where you can see the decor typical start of the century 1900s. Declared a italian national monument in 1923, was so named because it houses the Blessed Sacrament and the relics of St. Cosmas and Damian, the patron saints of the city. During the visit will visit the local craft shops with shopping and a relaxing break.
