It's pretty much exactly as described. This trip is all about the highlights of these countries. You're not seeing much off the beaten track, but you are going with a very experienced guide who knows the areas and their history like the back of their hand.
The trip was pretty fast paced but we had a couple of days in between to relax and enjoy areas at our own pace. My friend who joined me on the tour and I had an absolute blast. We're both 25 and the youngest in the group by approximately 30 years, but by the end it made no difference at all and we all got on very well.
Honestly, a great first experience of Southeast Asia, we stayed in beautiful accommodation, everything went so smoothly and nothing went wrong. Loved it.

I recently completed an incredible 15-day trek to the Annapurna Circuit, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! From start to finish, everything was organized perfectly, and the team made sure that every aspect of the journey was seamless.
A huge shoutout to my guide, Raja Ram Bhai, whose expertise, kindness, and personal touch elevated the entire trek. Raja’s knowledge of the route, the culture, and the local history made the experience feel so much richer. His constant care for my well-being and his patience with any questions or concerns I had made me feel safe and at ease, even during the most challenging parts of the trek. Whether it was pointing out the best viewpoints, explaining the significance of local traditions, or sharing stories about the mountain people, Raja was a wealth of knowledge and always made the trek enjoyable.
One of the highlights of the journey was the detour to Tilicho Lake—a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The hike to Tilicho was demanding, but absolutely worth it. Standing at the edge of the lake, with its surreal turquoise waters reflecting the towering mountains around, felt like stepping into a dream. Raja made sure we took our time to acclimatize properly and appreciate the stunning landscapes that led up to the lake. The views were beyond anything I could have imagined, and it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
The trek itself was absolutely stunning, with the Annapurna Circuit offering a variety of landscapes—from lush forests to high-altitude deserts, and breathtaking mountain views at every turn. We crossed Thorong La Pass, which was both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding, and the sense of achievement upon reaching the top was unforgettable.
Had a fantastic time with Explore, mostly because of my wonderful group and amazing guide, Su. He really is the best guide I've ever had, by some distance. The itinerary was OK but maybe a bit temple heavy in the first week. I also would've preferred to end at the seaside rather than Colombo.
I was very happy with the accommodation, it wasn't massively luxurious but was always perfectly comfortable, and several of the hotels wildly exceeded my expectations.
Food was great and we went to some really nice restaurants. The bus had a huge water dispenser where we could fill up for free, a lot better than relying on plastic water bottles like some other companies. The bus was small and would probably have felt very crowded if there were more of us, our group was luckily only 8 so we each got our own seat. It wasn't particularly comfortable but it got us where we needed - and thankfully it did have air con.
Overall I definitely, definitely recommend this trip - especially with Su!

Without Raj, I couldn't have accomplished this trek. Despite my poor English, he managed to understand my needs patiently and tried to fulfill them. Witnessed great mountain veiws everyday.
See you again, Raj.
World Expeditions have been fantastic throughout. Professional in every way, courteous, and informative. Along the trail, the experience, and ease with which we were guided to Base Camp was awesome. The WE stamp is well and truly visible at every stop, and every camp or eco lodge. They are clearly a well-respected business across the region.

This was our 9th Expat Explore coach tour. Got on to excellent start with Jamie Seymour. Had met him in South African tour few years back. We also met the owners Jack and Carl. Wonderful people. Jamie is a star in the company as makes you feel so much at home and looked after. The group was fun. Kanako and Narusan just as helpful. Safe driving. Japan is a must country to visit and Expect Explore make it easy. Just amazing experience.

This trip is a great way to pack a lot in, with a limited amount of time. The sights do not disappoint and even though it’s been 10 years since we both last visited India, the love affair continues! A special mention goes to our wonderful guide, Neha. Unflappable, kind & a superb ambassador for her crazy, colourful country. We were blessed with a fantastic group, all taking in what India has to offer in our varied strides.
I would probably give the Motor Museum a miss at the end of the tour and replace with a bit more of Delhi (India Gate perhaps?) But just a mild criticism of a great week in a beautiful & vibrant country.

We were very happy and impressed with the experience we received on this trek. When we arrived in Kathmandu there was heavy rains and flooding that disrupted normal travel to the Everest region. Yet, this tour operator did an amazing job at organizing everything for us so that we didn’t miss anything and started on time. Our guide Pasang Tamang was amazing and friendly, and he did a fantastic job communicating with us and keeping us safe. Very highly recommend, and I hope to go on another trip with Pasang again.
