Looking for a long, safe route to the top of Africa's highest peak with necessary acclimatization time built-in? The Northern Circuit route is not just one of the best routes but also the newest official route to ascend Mt. Kilimanjaro. This special route is also the least used and the longest route, perfect for those seeking a remote, peaceful trek. Trekking this trail guarantees excellent acclimatization changeover and exceptional views from the northern slope of the mountain.
The Northern Circuit follows the Lemosho route for the first few days, then ascending the Shira Ridge to cross the high Shira Plateau. Trekkers will leave the Lemosho route to turn northwards and follow the main circuit when approaching near the Lava Tower. Circling clockwise from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp, trekkers will pass through School Hut before finally summitting from the east. The descent is made via the Mweka route, where it is likely for trekkers to encounter other trekkers from the Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe, Machame or the Marangu routes.
Lions, panthers, cheetahs, elephants and a variety of wild animals meander lazily on grassy plains while Masai warriors watch out for their herds of cattle from a distance. Join us on this short, three-day trip to explore two of Tanzania's most famous nature reserves: Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Serengeti is Africa's most famous wildlife reserve. Known for its incredible concentration of predators and the great migration of two million wildebeest, the endless, grassy plains of this national park are a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Ngorongoro, on the other hand, is known for a dense concentration of wildlife in a relatively small area as well as its volcanic caldera.
Your journey starts with a pickup from Moshi on Day 1 of this guided tour. Head for Serengeti where you will enjoy a half-day game drive before moving on to Ngorongoro. Spend more than six hours exploring the bowl-shaped reserve before transferring to your hotel in Moshi.
Please note that the tour price also includes two night's accommodation in Moshi, one night each before and after the trip. For more details, please scroll down.

Your adventure only gets better with the spectacular sighting of the tree-climbing lions—a truly picturesque moment you will not want to miss.
Uganda comes alive as your time in Queen Elizabeth National Park unveils the true beauty of the African wild. Join us on this four-day, guided tour and make the most of your short stay in Tanzania with a visit to two of its iconic national parks. Serengeti National Park, your first wildlife destination, is famous for its huge concentration of wildlife, especially big cats, as well as for being the stomping ground of the great migration, which sees one and a half million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles traveling over 1,200 miles in an annual race for water and green grass.
The Ngorongoro Crater, where you will proceed from Serengeti, is the world's largest intact caldera, forming a spectacular bowl spread over 265 square kilometres with sides up to 600m deep. The crater is home to as many as 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any given time.
Also included is a stopover at the famous Olduvai Gorge, where the missing puzzles of human evolution were found. Please note that two night's accommodation in Moshi, one night each before Day 1 and on Day 4, is included in the tour price.

Conquer the tallest peak in Africa in this leisurely, unhurried, 11-day trek. Take the Lemosho Route, regarded as the best ascent route, since this offers the complete Kilimanjaro experience with more acclimatization time, more cultural interaction, more spectacular sceneries and even a night in Kibo Crater.
Starting from the western side of Kilimanjaro, you will cover most of the spectacular areas around the mountain during this ascent. Enjoy your stay in spacious guest tents with mattresses and pillows as well as a mess tent with lightweight tables and chairs.
Following this itinerary you will ascend the mountain via Stella Point and not the Western Breach. For that very reason, this route is also considered to be safer than the other. Our trips also include a toilet tent in the camp and knowledgeable, professional guides that go through bi-annual trainings. Our logistics team at our base will monitor your trip from start to finish. Don't miss this chance to climb the tallest mountain in Africa while enjoying the best of our services.

Lemosho is considered the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. The trek from Barranco to Barafu is divided into 2 days, allowing for a shorter period prior to the summit attempt so that climbers can rest properly. This route is a favorite pick because it offers a great balance of low traffic, scenic views and high summit-success rate.
Back in the time, there were only two main routes used to climb Kilimanjaro - the Marangu (Coca Cola) route and the Machame (Whiskey) route. But as Tanzania's tourism industry flourished, the Kilimanjaro park authority created more trails to Africa's highest peak.
Lemosho, a relatively new route, is preferred by reputable operators due to its beauty, remoteness and success rate. In short, it maximizes the chances that a climber will reach the summit, and enjoy the experience overall.
This 9 day trek includes 1 day for airport pick-up thus, the actual trek up and down is 8 days.
