Our trip today was incredible. Because of your organization and putting the right people in place, we were able to experience another culture and world so different from ours.
Our driver, Manuel, was wonderful and such a lovely man. We would like to be neighbors to he and his wife . He not only drive us to Tarifa, but walked with us through the town. Then ushered us to the ferry, waited for us to return, and took us back to our hotel. Mohammad, our guide in Tangier was very well versed on the world on which he was raised, and offered us insights into the past and present of his culture and country. Very enjoyable!
Mixture of hotels as per say with Explore, from full electricity to an African Hut lit by candle light. Please note accommodation is very basic compared to Western standards which Assan stressed to the group on the first day of the trip.
As mentioned in the itinerary there is a heavy emphasis on the bird life and the majority of trips are geared towards the birds. If birds are your thing then this is a trip for you.
The guide Assan is an excellent & enthusiastic birder with a comprehensive knowledge of the birds from The Gambia & Senegal.
Assan is a very open and honest guide & will relay his personal experiences of his own village life in The Gambia.
Driver Cering was excellent & ensured we were all safe & comfy on the long journeys on the bumpy African roads.
Bottled was provided on the bus along with regular local fruits.
Food wise, a lot of enthesis on fish cooked and served whole.
I am a vegetarian non fish eating and with help from Assan I never went hungry.
Local children enjoyed the sweets the group brought from the U.K.

Excellent trip! We covered a lot of ground from Marrakech all the way up north to the Mediterranean coast with stops in between. Enjoyed every minute! B
This tour was well run and for me a completely different cultural experience. I could relax and just go with the flow knowing everything was taken care of by the amazing tour leaders who were so very knowledgeable and caring. Their job is so difficult and I appreciated them both so much. My life has been forever changed got the better by visiting these countries thank you to everyone at Expat.
My first g adventures has been one to remember!! Morocco has been a country on my list to travel to for the longest time, thus I?ve done a lot of research on it. I was pleasantly surprised to find this your and see that it went to all the destinations I was hoping to travel to! This was an excellent trip in April 2022 - great itinerary, so much culture, fantastic guide (Tarek) and such delicious food on the Nile boat. I loved every minute of it, and so glad I went. Particular highlights for me were the temples at Karnack, Valley of the Kings, the food on the Nile boat and the yellowness of the sandstorm that engulfed us on our way back from Abu Simbel! It is however, not a trip for the faint-hearted. There are LOTS of early starts. Almost every day was a start before 7am and on a couple of days, it was up at 3am. There is LOTS of walking, I think I did about 27 miles in the 9 days - to/from temples, round museums, in/out of airports, to/from local markets etc. Personally, I am not sure I would label this as 'leisurely' - yes, there were no hills to climb, but it was often uneven, sandy ground we walking on and when I went, Egypt was also going through a heatwave, so it was 43 or 44 degrees every day. I ignored some of the optional extras so I could have some down time on the boat. I would also add that in additional to the 'essentials' listed on the what to take, you also need: sunhat, scarf to cover your shoulders and women need to wear a long skirt for the day they are going into the mosque in Cairo. Refillable water bottle and light/comfortable walking shoes - very essential! Also, take US dollars as your main currency (small denominations and not ripped notes). You will need some Egyptian pounds for some of the attractions, but everywhere they just want hard currency - even at the local markets. Final word of advice - don't bother with the extra walk INSIDE the pyramid in Cairo. It is near vertical, baking hot and nothing to see at the end of it. My legs were wobbly for hours afterwards. Overall, this was a totally amazing trip though and hope you enjoy it.

Another excellent trip with Explore. Fascinating itinerary which helped us discover many parts of both Togo and Benin. The tour leaders, Oscar and Edmund were both excellent and gave us a great insight into these fascinating countries. Some hotels were better than others, but that is to be expected in more remote regions.
