South Asia Culture shows excursions Trips

It is exactly what I had in mind. As the name of the tour indicates, the itinerary consists of castles, palaces, forts, medieval and old towns full of history and grand architecture. The pace was just right and the optional tours like the Eagle's Nest and Dinner Cruise in Budapest were some of the highlights of the trip. The tour director and local tour guides provided the much needed background information to appreciate what we were seeing. The only disappointment was the final dinner in Munich. I think Trafalgar went for atmosphere with the beergarten vibes but the food was so bad that almost everyone had to have dinner again in the hotel afterwards. It's too bad because it was the last event and therefore left a lasting bad impression. The tour could add Neuschwanstein Castle in the end as climax of the Imperial theme. Trafalgar could add extra to the price of the tour but people won't mind because of "Disneyland" castle's popularity and it can prove to be a spectacular ending to the trip. A lot of positives, one negative, and one recommendation.

The itinerary was great and exceeded all expectations. The days were full of activities (walking tours, museums, art galleries, misc. tourist attractions, boat cruises, etc.). We experienced a lot of interesting things and places, learned a lot of German history, particularly about WW I & II and the Nazi regime in Germany. The local tour guides were all very good to excellent. Their demeanor, passion, and knowledge of their subject matter were absolutely outstanding. The time and effort that Insight puts into researching and investigating opportunities for their tour itineraries, quality of accommodation, and food venues is reflected in the excellent quality of the tour. Thank you for a great tour and vacation experience.

I was very pleased most of the time concerning what Insight choose to show us on the tour. My only complaint was the few times we were shown something for an hour and then "given time to visit shops" for two hours. Yes, I am not a shopper. I do not visit shops for entertainment and I realize other people do this. My complaint was that we were not given the opportunity to return to the hotel instead of having to kill time for two hours waiting to be taken home.

This was such a phenomenal trip. The itinerary was great. Kept us busy the whole time. Saw more things than I expected. The tour director was fabulous and our group was wonderful. It was more than I expected.

This trip covers a lot of ground. Lot's of music, museums, excellent meals and great tour guide who provides a lot of information about each area along the way. Coach driver does an amazing job as well!

The itinerary was perfectly fitting to the name of the tour with all things to do with music and food relating to the states visited being broadly covered. We loved the optional excursions and the famous museums and places of interest. Our Tour Director was amazing.
