Another good trip with generally excellent accommodation, apart from the first hotel in Cochin which was in need of a refresh and was a bit isolated. It would have been nice to have more time at the best hotels to make more of their facilities. I enjoyed the backwater cruise, the range of food, the highland landscape (and cooler temperatures), the coffee plantation and seeing the Indian railways in action. I would recommend a warm top for the train rides, as the air-con can be a bit variable, plus remember a suitable bag for the two times when you will be without your suitcase for a night. Most places will take a credit card, but some Rupees are useful for local taxis and tips when not doing the included activities.

The only way to see India. We were afraid of what to expect from India but Luxury Gold made us feel safe and secure. They showed us things we would never have dreamed of and gave us confidence to try things we would not normally try. They treated us like family and nothing was too much trouble. In fact they were always asking what else they could do for us. Raj our driver deserves a special mention in how he looked after us.

A very full on and busy tour. Explores a lot of very different sights and maintains interest throughout. A lot of walking in ruins and uneven streets. Drives on the whole are not too long being broken by visits to places of interest and the bus was comfortable. The trip to the Sahara camp is amazing and very memorable as we drove there through a big sandstorm, the skills of the drivers to navigate this were very impressive. The campsite on arrival was very comfortable and served excellent food. The mosaics and historical sites are marvelous. Our guide Yusra was exceptional, she had lots of local knowledge, was fun, entertaining and well organised. She coped really well when a medical emergency arose to one member of the group providing the couple with great support while keeping the rest of the tour running with little disruption. Highly recommend this trip

Our travel director and our bus driver were excellent. It was very organized. We enjoyed all the extra touches Rafael did to let us experience even more of the countries we visited. We did elect to do all the extra excursions so we had very limited free time to explore on our own. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Itinerary was very busy (fewer hotel changes would have been nice), but the tour provided an excellent sample of the southern Spain and Portugal region. It has given us food for thought regarding areas that we would like to visit in more depth during future trips. The ability of the tour director and driver to work around the very unusual weather conditions was greatly appreciated.

It was an amazing trip. Our bus driver and tour guide were a 5 plus. The bus driver especially as the weather at times was very difficult and I never felt unsafe. There was alot packed into the 2 weeks but enjoyed it all.Sometimes a lot of walking so that is something to think about for future travellers .A memorable visit even though the rainy weather made it frustrating at times the memories with the people we met and my travel companions will be cherished
