This is a winter wonderland kind of trip. The beginning and end days are filled with beautiful scenery and cultural wonders as you tour Japan’s two great cities. The days spent on the northern island of Hokkaido are magical as you travel by plane, train, bus, subway and foot in snow covered landscapes. Sapporo’s snow and ice sculptures are an amazement, complete with nightly light shows. This trip is a do not miss for any traveler, dress warm and have the time of your life.

Zilola our leader was always helpful and quickly gave us alternative and extra options when the weather meant that the itinerary had to be changed. Personally we could not praise her enough for her boundless enthusiasm and skill with the language. There was an issue when one member of the group failed to board a train ,overhearing the phone conversation I think she could have handled it better initially. Keeping the group together at busy stations the old fashioned hand held flag may have helped or in this day and age a digital communication device. We enjoyed the Snow Festival very much and all the wonderful food experiences. Japan is a fantastic country to travel around by train, we were so lucky to get a perfectly clear view of Mt Fuji from the Shinkasen. There was enough time on the trip to do some solo exploring and we really enjoyed Higashi Honganji temple and Shosei-en garden in Kyoto. They were both amazingly tourist free and we would recommend them to others on the trip as a great walking route from the hotel we stayed in. As first time visitors to Japan we loved every moment and cant wait to go back.

Excellent

Just got done with the 13 day Japan trip and it was amazing! This was the first time ever solo traveling and staying in hostels, and even though I was nervous I grew to love it. Our tour guide Dan was the absolute best. Very informative, friendly, fun, and on top of absolutely everything. If you want to go on a trip and have everything planned and figured out for you Intro Travels and tour guide Dan is where its at. Top highlights: Mt. Fuji Snow monkeys Collecting stamps everywhere Samurai DAN THE MAN All the amazing people in my group ¦ Honestly the list could go on and on Be prepared to shed some tears when you have to leave.

I had the trip of a lifetime in Japan, I loved every minute. The tour covers so much of beautiful japan and the included activities were great (and seeing Mount Fuji was AMAZING!!). Dan was my leader and he was just amazing - he had so much cultural knowledge and was so organised with everything, and was always looking out for us and helping with any questions or worries we had. My group was amazing, and with Dans help we definitely felt like a little family in the end. As a solo traveller who was nervous to book this, Im so glad I did and I would highly recommend this tour and Intro travel to anyone who is considering it- you wont regret it!!! :)

I took this tour with my 26-year-old daughter as a belated graduation gift and it turned out to be one of the best things we've done together. We both love Asian food, history, and culture, but neither of us wanted to deal with figuring out trains or language barriers. This tour was the perfect solution. Seoul was great. The subway system is clean and easy, and we loved how our guide gave us the confidence to use it ourselves. Seeing Deoksugung Palace and the tsunami-shaped City Hall was such a unique contrast. My daughter is into history, so the War Memorial really moved her. I was more fascinated by the traditional hanok homes in Jeonju. Busan was cool and coastal. That view of the ocean behind the shrine was unforgettable. The ferry to Japan was surprisingly relaxing. We played cards, had snacks, and watched the sea. Japan felt more spiritual to me. Miyajima and the Itsukushima Shrine were beautiful, and Hiroshima gave us a lot to think about. The hot springs at Dogo Onsen were so soothing after long days of walking. And I have to say that the bullet train ride to Tokyo? My daughter was giddy like a kid in Disneyland! We both agreed that the night at Mount Koya’s monastery was something we’ll remember forever. Quiet, peaceful, and a total change of pace. If you're thinking about bonding time with a loved one, this tour gives you experiences you’ll talk about for years.

This tour was amazing with just the right amount of planned activities and downtime to choose what you wanted to do for the rest of the day! I was extremely anxious about traveling solo but I was fortunate to travel with amazing people in my small group and our CEO Yaz. From exploring the cities and temples it was a unique experience, and I?m so glad things went according to plan when we were traveling during the week of the typhoon appearing/ thank you Yaz for checking on updates!
