Japan is an unforgettable place, everyone should have the privilege of traveling there to experience it for themselves! Can’t recommend the jam-packed but full of fun and adventure “Japan in a Week” Contiki enough!

Recommend Not to miss this trip if within one's budget. Should include aquarium as part of the tour or optional. After Tokyo hotel, Kyoto hotel was congested; a bit of letdown.

We had a great time, lots to do and see. Travelling on our own on the trains and metro was challenging, but we survived. The guest house accommodation was really good, the food dinner and breakfast was fantastic. The presentation was stunning and for once you weren’t trying too work out what to have and interpret menus. Loads of really good craft beers to be had, some with a unique Japanese slant, if looked around. Our guide Raya, was superb, full of facts, energy and enthusiasm. She even gave up her free time to guide us on the free days. A great holiday, highly recommended.

A fascinating trip to Japan that covered a wide range of experiences. We travelled on public transport throughout the trip which was great. Personally, the snow monkeys were a highlight for me, but there were so many others too. I was lucky enough to travel during cherry blossom season which made everywhere look just so amazing. I always felt totally safe whether with the group or travelling solo. Everywhere was super clean even though are are few bins, as everyone takes there rubbish home. The toilets are also fab with heated seats, built in bidets and sounds to cover any you make while on the loo! Japan just has a different vibe to it, which I loved. We tried a few different onsens so I would recommend you give them a go. You can pack light as all hotels provided pyjamas and toiletries. A fabulous trip.

wonderful trip

There are many beautiful temples and shrines along the way, each with its own character and all are surrounded by gardens or woods. The cherry blossom (still plenty even though not at its peak season) and other flowers decorate the buildings and make the already scenic landscape stand out more. People are polite, things are organized, trains are always on schedule, hotels are clean and nice, and food is delicious. Really enjoyed the trip.

The hotels and planed activities were great, transportation as well. I saw a lot in this trip and had lots of great new experiences. What I did not expect was that most of the group would be spanish speakers and the english speakers to be a small minority. Also the tour guides were pretty mixed. Btw I can’t really rate them since only the spanish speaking guides are showing up In general I had the feeling that the native spanish speaking guides were interacting more with the spanish group and a bit less with the english group. It seemed otherwise with the native Japanese guides Akane and Ken, but it might be due to the small english group on the trip compared to the spanish speakers. Also some guides like “Pacco” or Miguel gave us very little background Information to the visited sites compared to other guides. But I was really happy with our Guide Ken whom I had for most of the trip, so I don’t feel bad about it. Thank you very much for a great time
