SAY HUEQUE ARGENTINA & CHILE JOURNEYS

Julia & Cynthia Hi, sadly our tour has ended. We had a fabulous time and wish we had a few extra days in Patagonia! I ate some Calafte berries so I will be back! Thank you for all the superb organisation. Everything went perfectly and all the accommodation was good. Our favourite was Nortofagus B&B in El Chalten. We know the style now for future trips! Our hikes were superb, unfortunately the towers at Torres del Paine were covered in cloud but we did have snow which was exciting. All the guides were great. Juan Pablo in Ushuia was our favourite. Today we are on our way to Puerto Montt with our son. Thank you again for organising a great trip.

Little else to say but THANKS

"We have little else to say but THANKS for all of your help during the organization of our trip to Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. It has been an amazing experience for us all the way through and your ceaseless support has been truly paramount for us. We found an excellent level of service with you and everything was super smooth.

The trip was amazing!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our Argentine Experience. The trip you designed for us fit perfectly and we appreciate your being sensitive to the energy 2 couples over 70 can maintain for 2 weeks. I put a review on TripAdvisor and hope it helps to attract additional interest in Say Hueque. We greatly enjoyed many experiences on the trip, from the tours in Buenos Aires and the El Ateneo book store to El Calafate and the Perito Moreno Glacier; from the view of Mt Fitz Roy in El Chalten to Ushuaia with the penguins, hike and fresh meal; and Mendoza wines, tour to Mt Aconcaqua and Cristina Brino’s cooking class. Many of the guides were exceptional. Some to mention are Tina in Buenos Aires, Nancy at Nibepo Aike, the guides with Piratour and Tierra Turismo in Ushuaia, Lena in Mendoza and Aixa at Corazon del Sol . It was a wonderful time - you have our great thanks and appreciation. Below are some suggestions for you to consider for future experiences. These are from Bonnie and me, Lois and Mark may have some additional observations. - The trip home on the 25th was a long day and the day before was an open day prior to the cooking class. Something that would have helped the travel would be to go to Buenos Aires the morning of the 24th leaving the afternoon of the 24th and morning of the 25th open for additional touring in Buenos Aires - there is always more to see. This would have eliminated much of the long wait at the airport. - The cooking class was wonderful. Cristina and her staff were great, entertaining presented a meal fit for 3 times the number of people. Unfortunately for us the class was on the Day of Remembrance for the disappeared and taxi and Uber service was limited. Villa Mansa staff had trouble finding a ride for us to Finca Adalgisa and Cristina and her staff had a lot of trouble finding a ride back to Villa Mansa. No taxi was to be found and we finally got a ride with Joaquin, an employee at the hotel that serves breakfast, at almost midnight. I’m not sure what to suggest for the class was a lot of fun. It probably is offered limited days of the week. Thank, Antonella and everyone else at the team for giving us a wonderful time.

Amazing experience

That water is just beautiful. Day very perfectly organized. Tour guide a marvelously experience man with great knowledge of the region. Bonus: food was good too!! And wine! Another bonus: tour guide has world class level of dry sense of humor lol

We had a fantastic trip, thank you!

We chose to travel with this local operator because you provided a bespoke itinerary in line with where we wanted to go, we were looking with a company with local knowledge. The booking process was very good. All changes were to itinerary were made / advice given speedily. The only issue was not paying by pay pal - although we did this by credit card in the end the process was more complicated. Our favourite hotel was the Kaulem Hosteria in El Chalten - an intimate and cosy place with only 4 rooms, delicious breakfast, cakes and coffee - brilliantly located and the staff were really friendly. Out least favourite hotel was Hosteria Koi Aiken in El Calafate. This is mainly due to the location due to a 40 minute power walk to the outskirts of town and tthe rooms were a bit tired looking, although the breakfast was very good. It's difficult to say which was our favourite excursion as they were all fantastic. The trip to Perito Merino glacier was amazing, simply because the scenery was so breathtaking and the glacier hike really interesting with informative and friendly guides. The paddle trip into the national park at Ushuaia was also great fun - again the guide spoke excellent English and made the trip enjoyable with his knowledge of the park and flora and fauna. And the excursion to the Iguazu falls was also great as the guide knew all the tricks to make sure we spent the least time queueing as possible - and again he was very informative and knowledgeable. Its really difficult to pick out a favourite memory as we loved all of the places we stayed. We hiked to the see Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre - this was also amazing. My memory will be the the diverse and stunning scenery - glaciers, mountains, waterfalls and wildlife (beagle channel cruise) the friendliness of all the people we met and the knowledge of the guides. oh and the great steak and huge portions of food! Rene - the Iguazu falls guide - he saved us so much time queueing and was really knowledgeable about the birds and plants. But all our guides made the experience memorable. I was a bit disappointed with the location of the Koi Aiken hosteria as we spent a lot of time walking to and from town - and I did expect that arrangements would have been made for our bags to be transferred between the Rebelde hotel. We asked and the lady at the Rebelled sorted this out for us, but an agent from the tour company did email to say this was our responsibility. I would definitely recommend your company to any friends who are travelling to Argentina and would like to say thank you for making our trip so pleasurable.

It was a fabulous trip!

It was a fabulous trip! We might even write a little blog for those traveling and not camping. We have friends with Patagonia on their list and we will definitely highly recommend you.
