Venture to the edge of the world with the "Dientes de Navarino Wilderness Trek," a challenging trek ideal for seasoned hikers and adventurous spirits. Located in the remote reaches of Tierra del Fuego, this tour takes you through beech forests, wet swamplands, and the dramatic peaks known as Los Dientes of Navarino Island. Encounter crystal-clear lagoons, observe beavers constructing their dams, and feel the powerful winds that herald the proximity of Cape Horn. day 1 - Arrival in Punta Arenas

After having arrived at the airport of Punta Arenas, private transfer to the hotel in Punta Arenas (without a guide).

In the evening, you have a short briefing with our guide for your tour on Tierra del Fuego. Spend the night in a hotel in double room with private bathroom.

day 2 - Flight to Puerto Williams - Tierra del Fuego

You fly to Puerto Williams where you start your trekking. Puerto Williams (2,300 inhabitants) is the southernmost settlement north of the Antarctic.

In the afternoon you have time to explore the tiny fisher-village Puerto Williams on your own and to visit the interesting Martin Gusinde museum, where you can learn a lot about the culture of the Yamana Indigenous.

Overnight stay in a guesthouse in double room with private bathroom. Breakfast and dinner included.

day 3 - Dientes de Navarino Trek - Laguna del Salto

Today you hike through a deep forest of beech trees and swampland uphill to Laguna Salto (480m). You set up camp close to the Laguna del Salto where you spend the night in tents.

You have 5-6 hours of walking and an elevation of approx. 600m ascent/ 200m descent. Walking distance: 9 km.

Overnight stay in tents. Breakfast, box lunch and dinner included.

day 4 - Dientes de Navarino Trek - Laguna Escondida

Today you hike over the Paso Primero to the Mirador de los Dientes. You enjoy a picturesque view over the Dientes Mountain range with its blue lagoons. Afterwards, you hike further over terrain that might be partly snow covered to reach the Paso Australia (805m). On your way you discover small lagoons and the sharp rising Dientes mountains until you arrive at your next campsite.

You have 5 hours to walk and an elevation of approx. 400m ascent/descent. Walking distance: 9,5 km.. Overnight stay in tents. Breakfast, box lunch and dinner included.

day 5 - Dientes de Navarino Trek - Laguna Martillo

Today you walk through the hidden and untouched valleys of Isla Navarino and cross the Paso Ventarron (696m). You move towards the valley where you can observe beaver marked forests and dams. If you are lucky, you have the chance to watch one of these busy animals during its work. You have 5 hours to walk and an elevation of approx. 300 m ascent/descent. Walking distance: 8 km. Overnight stay in tents. Breakfast, box lunch and dinner included.

day 6 - Dientes de Navarino Trek - Puerto Williams

You hike uphill on a sometimes-muddy trail to Paso Virginia (829m), the highest point of the Dientes de Navarino-Circuit. From up there you have views back to the rock spires of Monte Lindenmayer and also to Hoste island and Ushuaia. Afterwards, descend to Laguna Guanacas and hike back to Puerto Williams, passing dense Coigue forest and fire-cleared slopes until you reach Los Bronces. From there you have a private transfer back to your guesthouse in Puerto Williams.

You have 7 - 8 hours to walk and an elevation of approx. 420m ascent/830m descent. Walking distance: 15 km. Farewell dinner. Overnight stay in a guesthouse in a cozy familiar atmosphere in double room with private bathroom. Breakfast, box lunch and dinner included.

day 7 - Return flight to Punta Arenas

Today once again you take the flight back to Punta Arenas airport and say goodbye to our local trekking-guide.
