Our guide was fantastic, helping our group appreciate both the cultural and natural wonders we experienced firsthand. His infectious positive attitude brought everyone together, creating a fun and cohesive atmosphere among all the tour participants.

ACCOMODATION SOBEK STONE HOUSE Very comfortable, warm & cosy for the colder winter months. Indoor pool, variable temperature but ideal for a relaxing dip or short lengths after a long day. Bar & restaurant good for snacks & drinks. Staff extremely efficient & courteous. Location perfect for access to town without the noise & hubbub. Noisy dogs are part of the course in this area. Great view of balloons from terrace. ITINERARY Walks are all not too demanding, meaning you can concentrate on the scenery & there's bags of that. Variety from rock formations to interesting towns & slot canyons. Highlights are the Fairy Chimneys & the Petra-esque churches and houses hacked out of the rocks. Expect some challenges in the way of mud, water & sheepy smells. It's all part of the experience. GROUP Probably the best one yet, in quite a few years of using Explore. Not a diva in sight & no arguments or schisms which can occur after a few days together. Interesting people doth maketh for a better-eth tour-eth. TOUR LEADER Alkan was brilliant, went the extra mile and then some, to keep us all happy. I took a few photos & was always way behind, but he coped with all our foibles easily. Lots of knowledge without overkill. Loved his daily briefs on a range of eclectic topics. BALLOONS I booked before arriving but then the flights were cancelled for the next 6 days. The company refunded the cost with no problem. I then joined the group for the one arranged by the tour leader. We took off on the last day. It is a spectacle & worth every penny. Ours was Eur 170 paying by card, cheaper by cash.

Amazing trip

It was a great experience in Turkey with my family. We enjoyed every part of this trip with the best service. The hotels we stayed were great, and the tours we attended were outstanding with professional tour guides. And the company was very professional and helpful during our visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent

Hi, I really like the hotel, the view and the guide Hatice. Fresco: The hotel : staff was very lovely, rooms clean and big, beautiful view, good breakfast. The view was so amazing in cappadocia, i never seen a view like that, it is worth the trip, unique in the world. The breakfast is typical turkish, very good kahvalti and fresh. Thank you so much for the trip, it was very very nice, i keep good memories.

A1 vacation experience

Exploring the underground cities and ancient remains as well as visiting the Blessed Mother's house were definitely the highlights of my tour. Optional activities like our Turkish night out and watching the Whirling Dervishes were also my favorites.

Excellent guide, fascinating trip

Loved the daily walks that we did as we covered some fascinating history and saw a unique part of Turkey that's off the beaten track of the standard beach holidays that people do when they think of Turkey. The guide Ikut was one of the best guides I've seen, and I've done lots of this kind of trip. He was kind, attentive, diplomatic and very cheerful. The walking was pretty relaxed and we went at a slow pace and it was all quite easy. The main point of our walks was to see the beautiful landscapes and hidden, painted rock churches. The food was plentiful and delicious and we were well looked after. The only bad points are the hotel Ciner, which wasn't great (days without hot water, no bar to hang out in at night, and repetitive food at breakfast) but it was close to the town centre and adequate for our needs. Also the communication from Exodus prior to the trip wasn't good. But the locals in Goreme, including our guide, worked hard to look after us and it's a really beautiful part of Turkey to experience. The walking routes were dry, dusty and exposed so hats, sunglasses and water are recommended.
