Excellent
This was one of the best trips of my life. I met excellent people on the tour!!
1st Adventure to Turkey
Great trip which started in Istanbul, we had two different guides on day 1 and day 2. The first one was nice but didn’t introduce himself to us, which was a disappointment we walked and picked up others along the way to Topkapi Palace, which was extremely busy as our guide said two cruise ships were in port, which made the queues long (including toilets) and we didn’t have time to see everything. Second guide was excellent, Adul (sorry may be wrong) very informative with maps to explain our trip along the Boshporus, guided us through spice bazaar and how to use the team. After our flight to Kayseri we were warmly greeted by our driver Okan (also our disc jockey) and guide Ali, who were both friendly and knowledgeable on what we were seeing and answering our questions. We were a group of four and we had the mini bus to ourselves so felt very personal. Had a bit of trouble with mini bus which was sorted out overnight, Okan and Ali had much longer days than us ⭐️ This was our first tour to Turkey which gave us a very small glimpse of the country. All hotels were excellent but the Fresco Cave Suites were amazing, we were upgraded which included our own sauna room, lovely friendly staff and amazing breakfast, thank you Volkan. We would recommend this tour and want to see more of Turkey. We were four women travelling and felt safe and respected wherever we went.
Excellent
Sedef and her team did an amazing job organizing our 8 day tour. From the time of booking to our very last flight, there was great communication via WhatsApp and everything ran smoothly. Reza, Emre, and Hatti are absolutely wonderful tour guidesƒgreat English, full of passion, and very accommodating. The tours do involve a lot of walking but even in July heat, it was not too rigorous. The tour guides made sure to find shady spots for us and lots of water breaks. Meals provided during lunch were delicious. The shuttles vans that took us around were very comfortable and had outlets and ac. We choose to pay extra for the hot air balloon ride on Capadocia and it was fantastic. Sedef made arrangements and a local company picked us up from our hotel room at 4 am. The driver had nice goody bags filled with fruit, snacks, and water. After the hot ballon ride, the pilots and their crew all served non alcoholic champagne in honor of the soft landing. Totally great touch. We got back to our cave hotel by 7 am, which gave us time to take a quick nap and breakfast before our next tour. This was honesty a great tour of the high lights of Turkey. Small group, we loved our guides, and made friends with fellow tourists. Thank you again Tour Altinkum and special shout out to Sedef for going above and beyond.
Excellent
Highly recommended this tour agent. Did the Istanbul-Pammukale-Ephesus-Cappadocia tour and it was great! Tour booking process was easy/simple. Very clear itinerary. Pick up time was on point. Comfortable shuttles with AC. Communication with the agent was amazing!- available via WhatsApp throughout and they'd update you daily with the next day's itinerary. Tour guides were amazing! Very knowledgeable. They would also give advice on where to take the best photos + where to get the best deals for goods/gifts. Toured various local businesses daily (not part of the itinerary but a free complimentary tour when time allowed) and they all sold very nice, affordable items! Did the trip solo but made friends along the way- with other tourists doing the same tour on that day. Hotels were good with good breakfast options (although if you are lactose intolerance or celiac, options might be limited). Lunch was mainly buffet style- good range of options. Desserts were amazing! Really enjoyed my trip!
