The capital of South Africa and one of the world’s most recognisable cities, Cape Town - or the Mother City as it is often known - is a cacophony of cultures that has worked hard to establish peaceful coexistence. Nowadays Christians, Muslims and Hindus rub shoulders with the traditional African practices that are indigenous to South Africa. After a turbulent past, every culture and lifestyle is accepted as a key ingredient to Cape Town’s unique flavour. The result of such an inclusive atmosphere? A creative freedom that has painted the city in every colour and pattern imaginable. From the natural wonders of Table Mountain to the local goods of Bay Harbour Market, holidays to Cape Town is a feast for the senses.

This trip is incredible! Fully packed with adventure and giving you the ability to experience so many new activities in an amazing part of the world. Our trip manager was absolutely wonderful and so helpful, and the excursions and accommodations were booked through great and trusted vendors. Highly recommend as a great way to see a lot in Southern Africa!

Absolutely amazing trip. Our trip manager was awesome () he made the trip so memorable with all his knowledge and passion of Africa. All the guides and transfer drivers along the way were so accomodating and passionate about what they have to show us along the journey. All the add ons were great and well explained and enjoyed by everyone with very little complaints.

The best of South Africa is exactly that. The land is vast , the safari to see wild animals was great, there were surprises with each scenic photo opportunity and the itinerary covered so much history ,diversity and beauty. and were great ambassadors and so helpful. Great team. I enjoyed anything to do with animals including the Big 5, Penguins, Whales, Baboons, Hippos. The hotels were fantastic , in great locations, safe, high quality.

Sea Safari South Africa was an unforgettable trip! The wildlife encounters were incredible, and seeing elephant calves and lion cubs up close was such a highlight. Our tour manager was not only professional but also incredibly knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. I also really enjoyed the surfing, kayaking, and cooking class free time add-ons. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The itinerary includes quite a bit of bus travel, and much of the trip revolves around free time add-ons. If you choose not to take part in a free time add-on, there isn’t always a great alternative for free time, so I’d recommend budgeting with that in mind. The upside is that the add-ons are excellent and definitely feel worthwhile. Personally, I would have loved to see a couple more game drives and dinners included, particularly during the Eswatini portion of the trip. Most accommodations offer Wi-Fi, though at Milwane Wildlife Sanctuary it is capped at 500 MB and only available in the dining area. At Kruger National Park there is no Wi-Fi and very limited cell service, so it’s best to plan ahead. I also recommend setting aside a few days in Cape Town before the tour begins, as there’s very little time built into the itinerary to explore the city otherwise. Overall, a fantastic trip!

Brilliant trip with a wide range of different activities and scenery to be seen. Hotels were all really clean and good, food was fantastic throughout the stay in South Africa. Only one comment to make on the flying to johannasberg then a lot of travelling the next couple of days with out as many activities. I think it’s been talked about flying into Durban for future tours.

Well thought out trip, you definitely get to see almost all the South African highlights in a quick time frame. I would definitely budget to do all the add on activities because they are so worth the money. A great first solo trip to Africa for me!

  • Hike or cable car up to the top of Table Mountain, or alternatively hike the smaller Lion’s Head.
  • District Six Museum pays homage to the damage inflicted during apartheid and is a worthy history lesson.

Travel Tips

  • Wind is forceful in Cape Town and the summer months of October-March are the windiest. April is the best time to visit.
  • Buses are slow and unreliable. Taxis are more expensive but safer.
  • Keep valuables hidden and avoid walking alone or in a couple at night.
  • Shoprite is the budget supermarket in Cape Town.
