An inspiring adventure throughout Southern Africa

We had a most enjoyable 3 weeks on this trip, and made friends on our group of ten. The camping was work, putting up our tents (with help, thanks, you know who you are !). We stayed two nights in most places, 3 in Etosha. Very early morning starts, breakfast at 7 with tents down on moving days. It was dark, and cold! However, the tents were very comfortable with beds and mattresses, and we slept really well. The food was delicious and plentiful. After long days driving, our guides turned in and cooked for us. The breakfasts were delicious too.

Cape Town to Victoria Falls

The adventure was amazing. Small group of 11. Everyday was so different from the last. I really liked driving through the countries even though sometimes the roads weren’t the best (was prepared for that). The wildlife we saw was beautiful! The hotels were fine.

Very enjoyable, varied trip providing a great introduction to Africa at a value for money price

This trip provided a very varied experience showcasing both the animals and the scenery of the countries we passed through. We weren't sure what to expect from camping in Africa and the facilities on offer, although basic at times, surpassed our expectations. We did the trip from 16 June - 5 July, and benefitted from seeing Victoria Falls in full flow, uncrowded campsites and great weather (though a couple of nights and early mornings were cold until the sun was up). Not sure if we were just lucky, but we saw no rain until Cape Town. Every day provided a new adventure and made the early starts and long journeys on some days absolutely worth it. We couldn't have asked for a better 'introduction' to Africa.

Amazing 3 week camping trip.

We had a wonderful adventure visiting four countries in Africa with our excellent guides Petrus and Ende. They worked tirelessly to ensure we were safe, well fed, comfortable and happy. Our group consisted of 8 of us plus the 2 leaders which made for a very comfortable time on the Bruck as we had lots of space. Our tents were new and very easy and quick to put up and take down. The campsites were all different and it's hard to choose a favourite as they all had something special about them, they all had swimming pools and free WiFi (very slow and usually only at reception or bar). The showers and washroom facilities were sometimes excellent and sometimes basic but always adequate. The meals were varied with plenty of vegetables and salad and huge portions. This is an amazingly diverse itinerary, so well thought out, and you get to see the a range of different landscapes and incredible wildlife.

Very varied, comfortable and fun!

Although it's only twelve days, there's lots of variety in this trip. There's time on safari, some nice coastal walks, some bird watching, a relaxing wine tasting Sunday, a great city break in Cape Town and penguins! There are only really two travel days and the accommodation is indeed premium. The main stops (2 nights) were all great, especially Amakhala and De Hoop which have real style. Stellenbosch is very good and has plenty of space for relaxing after all the wine tasting. We had a good group and a great guide. And the food and drink in south Africa is great too.

South Africa

An extensive and enjoyable tour of South Africa but this is a big country and the time spent travelling was greater than expected. The tour group was less cohesive than other Exodus holidays we have enjoyed.
