Walking through history

Evia is a Greek island most people of never heard of but it has a central role in Greek history. You are literally walking through time. Comfortable family run accommodation and excellent food in local tavernas. This is a destination not spoilt by international tourism. The 'real' Greece. The walking is varied and most involve an ascent but also long descents. The weather in October was just the right temperature for walking although a bit chilly and windy for swimming.

Black and white review

The BEST travel company & tour guide (Luc Vincent) - The entire process was a fantastic experience, when they say it will be a trip you’ll never forget, this is an experience that will do just that. Our tour rep was exceptional, super fun, amazing service who listens and truly cares about everyone in the group. Luc has a natural ability in his role and skills as a travel guide. I’ve never had an experience like it - from the moment I got an email from Luc he has shown true passion, focus, patience and enthusiasm making sure the whole thing was a shinning 5 stars in all areas. —> Need a trip of a life time, friends for life and/ or unforgettable memories in the most beautiful locations in the world? Luc is the person for you to make that exactly happen! Thank you ever so much and to all your efforts.

MOUNTAINS & VILLAGES OF EVIA

A way to experience authentic Greek cuisine, take part in guided walks in areas you couldn't find on your own and learn something you probably didn't know about the inhabitants and history of this island.

Good

Very good trip, the length of the trip is not to long and the activity’s that are done are very enjoyable but also leave time to enjoy the place at your own pace.

Excellent

What an experience! This 8 day tour was packed with historical sights and experiences and the most beautiful scenery. I had no idea Greece was so mountainous. Donna was a great guide who made the tour so much fun. She made history interesting with her wonderful stories about Greek gods and other folklore. Impressed by the skill of the bus driver! ! The hotel was very nice with great views. Breakfast, dinner and entrance fees are included in the package price. The days on the bus were long, but there were many stops along the way to see sights (many hikes and climbs), take photos and stretch our legs. I was exhausted, but glad I did this tour.

Fantastic Week

A really enjoyable, relaxing trip. Accommodation was excellent in all places, our guide Cecile was fantastic, Greek food is wonderful, and the walks were brilliant. Everything was well organized. I hadn't been to the Greek Islands before, and this tour was the perfect introduction to this beautiful corner of the world. Santorini was overflowing with tourists (there were three cruise ships there when we arrived, and the chaos at the ferry terminal--which is not where the cruise ships go--was truly something to experience) but everyone should visit this stunning and unique island once in their lifetime. The walk on Santorini was incredibly beautiful (although hot--very little shade). Naxos and Paros were more laid back, also stunningly beautiful, and exactly what I dreamed the Greek islands might be like--I took SO many photos! You have some time to explore on your own. The walks are not difficult, and the pace matches the group--steady but no rush. You need sturdy walking shoes for sure, but not boots. If you often walk with a pole, bring it as paths are rocky and uneven in many places. You do spend a fair few hours on ferries but that's part of getting around between islands, so bring a book and enjoy the experience. I'm sure all groups are different, but ours was a really nice mix of people from the UK, NZ, Australia, and the US, with a median age in the 50-65 range. If you're even thinking about this trip, don't hesitate--just book it.
