A really excellent trip that was well paced. Some excellent wildlife encounters including a swim with nurse sharks, a manatee with her calf and amazing bird life. Interesting Mayan sites, with the trip to Tikal being a stand-out. Our guide, Justin, was outstanding. The accommodation was mostly good, although the Sea Soray in Placencia was very poor.

Excellent trip. Leader was also excellent. Very good blend of archeological sites, wildlife, coastal sites and nature. Accommodation was situated in very good spots, but a couple of them were of moderate quality.

We loved our trip to Belize. Our tour leader, Wilfred, was fantastic, giving us so much local information & he was excellent company too. Whilst we didn't fancy climbing the steep steps of the Mayan temples, we did enjoy sitting in the sunshine, watching the many birds & the iguanas. Iguanas have wonderful local names - Wish ***** & Bamboo Chicken! I went to see the wildlife & bird life. We saw Black Howler Monkeys & Spider Monkeys, really noisy & acrobatically performing in the trees above us. In the jaguar reserve we saw 30+ White Lipped Peccaries which crossed the trail in front of us. I clocked up 85 different species of birds which were identified - the boat trips on the lagoon & rivers were a highlight. Whilst we didn't participate in snorkelling, it was possible to see Nurse Sharks & Barracudas, as well as lots of smaller fish off the back of the boat.

This trip surpassed our expectations and was successful in everyway. Our guide Will was great and really contributed to making the whole trip as good as it could possibly be. He was extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated the perfect balance between being professional at all times , friendly, humorous and interacted easily with the group. Other Guides that were used on individual day trips were also a joy to listen to , sharing their knowledge and experience. The only observation (not a criticism as everything was wonderful) I can make is that was very little time to relax and often half day trips, in theory finishing around 2pm got delayed, meaning we didn't get back until around 5pm. This was the case in Placencia where a half day or even another night would have been welcome as would another day on Caye Caulker . Having said that our adult daughters came with us for a rare whole family holiday and had the trip been any longer they would not have been able to join us as they would be unable to take any more annual leave. Our group bonded particularly well so the friendships and humour added to the happy and relaxed atmosphere. I cannot fault this trip and highly recommend it

We covered a lot of ground in 18 days and it was amazing. Miquel was an attentive and knowledgeable guide. Our experience was a bit unique as it was just my husband and I. We loved the mix of cultural, food, wildlife and adventure activities. We took advantage of many of the optional activities because - well why not - we were there to see things! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to explore the 5 sister countries of Central America.

Thoroughly enjoyable trip that encompassed Mayan temples, jungles, wildlife, and culminating with a snorkeling trip on the final day on three individual reefs that provided everything that you never expect to see in such a short 2-week holiday. It is difficult to explain how so much was achieved in such a short time. Each hotel room is basic and has its own character except for the Sea Spray Hotel [which resembled a jail cell in a military guard room], something you must bear in mind if you are expecting a little more luxury. The food was surprisingly good and got better the more adventurous you got when trying out new menus in different locations. Transport was not amazing. Given that there was more that a dozen of us in the group, I was not expecting a luxurious coach. However, the vehicles provided were relatively uncomfortable considering the back seat had all the luggage crammed onto them and then it was a case of sitting in the remaining seats. Even more impressive was the exceptional tour guide assigned to us. Tarique was phenomenal and nothing was too much for this guy. EXPLORE is in this man’s DNA. His enthusiasm and knowledge know no bounds. He went above and beyond what was expected of him given that there was an incident that required medical attention. This was sorted out post-haste with little and no fuss and with no impact to the trip that day. With Tarique as our tour guide, I genuinely feel we were in safe hands. Tarique, Sir, you are a LEGEND. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that is going to remain with me for quite some time and one that I would highly recommend to those adventurous among you. Belize & Guatemala are places you should see for yourself, if not more than once.
