An incredible itinerary, multiple highlights!

I joined this itinerary as an observing Exodus Staff Member - on it's first ever departure which was very exciting. The leader was exceptional, many little surprises and getting to see local customs and experiences we would never had seen if it was not for the leader. The itinerary was well organised, with a great mixture of downtime and walking various locations. No drives over 3 hours and were always split up nicely with little experiences along the way.

The road to Hana was our favorite day planned by Collette. We also enjoyed learning about the wars that finally unified the islands under King Kamehameha 1 and visiting the Iolani Palace. We took excursions on our own - whale watching on Maui and a helicopter ride over Kauai. We were supposed to visit HI in 2023 for our 50th anniversary, but the fire on Maui caused the trip to be canceled. So, 3 years later we finally visited our 50th state!

Excellent itinerary with many highlights. Personal favourites being Tikal, Palenque, Xunanatunich , Uxmal and the creepy folk horror church in Chamula. Flores & Caye Caulker were also lovely and Mexico City was unexpectedly interesting. Also unexpected was the amount of wildlife we saw, especially in Guatemala & Belize, including many birds, howler & spider monkeys, coatis, iguanas & crocodiles. The transport was all good with plenty of space, although a couple of buses had broken or absent seat belts. Several long drives, but that can't really be helped. Accommodation was all excellent and especially appreciated the centrally located hotels in Oaxaca & San Cristobel. On a negative note, to much time was wasted on very long, very late lunches which resulted in a couple of late arrivals at our hotel with no time to look around and a very rushed boat trip in fading light in Sumidero Canyon. Suggest people just take a snack. Also no time was given to see the Sun Pyramid (the main attraction) at Teotihuacan so that we could go to a souvenir shop and a long lunch. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in this part of the world.

Discover Guatemala

We got a wonderful cultural experience of Guatemala. Lots of wonderful experiences with our very personable tour guide Eli kept us informed on the trip all the way. Fabulous cultural experience in Guatemala with Eli our lovely reliably rep who shared all his knowledge with us.

Diana Lee was a great tour manager, and we loved the whole trip. The train portion was so fun with the gondola car, plus the food was excellent on the train.

It was very well managed and the Trip Manager was a great support. He was professional, funny and supportive in every matter. The last hotel at Mexico City was great. Overall a good overview of the city covered.
