Your day begins with a hotel pick-up as you head toward Los Glaciares National Park. Upon arrival at Bajo las Sombras port, board a boat and cross Lake Rico, enjoying stunning views of the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier along the way.

Once on the opposite shore, experienced guides will greet you and organize participants into groups. You’ll be equipped with crampons, helmets, and harnesses, followed by a safety briefing before the adventure begins. Start with a walk along the lake shore, witnessing ice calvings and soaking in the glacier’s beauty, while the guides share fascinating insights into glaciology.

Your adventure begins in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in El Calafate, heading along the iconic Route 40 to the historic “Luz Divina” Parador. After gearing up for kayaking, set off down the tranquil waters of the La Leona River, covering approximately 10 miles as you paddle through stunning Patagonian landscapes.

Midway, pause for an exciting 2-hour trek at Cerro Los Hornos, exploring a landscape dotted with petrified logs, fossilized dinosaur bones, and ancient rock formations, some of the oldest on Earth. Officially incorporated in 1884, the town later became a penal colony, establishing a permanent Argentine presence in the region.
