Our guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Catch a coach to Hoa Lu. The journey takes around two and a half hours. Visit the historic capital of Vietnam and the famous ancient temples of Le and Dinh dynasties.
The bus will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc for lunch at around 12:30 PM. After lunch, it is time to enjoy a boat ride to Tam Coc while enjoying the scenery. Then ride a bicycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops from Tam Coc to Bich Dong (around 5 km).
We will drive you back to Hanoi in the evening and drop you off at your hotel in the city at around 18:30 PM. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Have a hearty breakfast at your hotel and check out. Our English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the Ha Long Bay. On the way, take the most scenic route to reach the bay, traveling past the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies stretching as far as the eyes can see.
On arrival, you will get onboard a beautiful traditional junk and spend a full day and night cruising around the bay’s 3,000 magnificent limestone islets. You might also want to experience a kayaking trip on the gentle water and admire thousands of islands rising from the water.
In the evening, when the boat is anchored in the middle of a stunning lagoon and the sun gradually goes down, you will enjoy a mouthwatering seafood meal and participate in some shore excursions on boat. Spend the night on the boat.
Wake up early and take in the laidback atmosphere on the cruise. There is a tai chi lesson available on the sundeck for those interested. Enjoy your breakfast and have an amazing time exploring a stunning cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites.

Discover the market and transfer back to Bangkok. The afternoon itinerary includes a trip to two of the capital’s most significantly and visually stunning temples. Wat Traimit, which houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha statue (5.5 tons of this precious metal was used to make this statue), and Wat Pho, which is the oldest temple in Bangkok and home to the Statue of the Reclining Buddha.
