Northern Thailand Adventure

This tour was so amazing and Smile made sure it was for all of us!!! He’s an amazing guide, friend, comedian and bodyguard ;)! I couldn’t have wished for a better tour guide. He made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun all the time. We learned so much about the culture and history of Thailand. My favorite part of this trip was the jungle trek and sleeping in the local village. Playing with the kids, seeing them happy and giving them snacks and toys was something that gave me so much joy. Thank you Smile for making this trip unforgettable!

I was on the Northern Thailand tour with Arthur, and he made it such a fun and exciting experience. He was always making sure that everybody had a great time, while still being funny and more like a friend rather than a guide. 10/10 experience which I will never forget.

This was my first time solo travelling and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Most people on the trip were also travelling alone and I’ve now made some new friends for life. I’d highly recommend to family and friends.

The tour was amazing I met some amazing new people from all over the world and experienced some of the best places I have even been. The whole experience was made so much better due to our tour guide Arthur who was kind, caring, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, positive and very funny! He was always happy to help and answered any questions or concerns I had. I have never travelled alone before but he made the whole experience amazing and I am very grateful for all his hard work. This trip is definitely unforgettable and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of booking.

Really enjoyed my two weeks travelling around Northern Thailand. We saw and did a lot- from staying in a mountain village (a highlight), trekking through the jungle, feeding and washing the elephants, watching Muay Thai boxing, to doing a cooking class for local cuisine. Oh, and we can’t forget about the nights out and the Ladyboy Cabaret! I loved Thailand and I’ll definitely be back for more.

Alles super organisiert, man bracht man sich keine Gedanken zu machen und Sachen selber planen. Wenn man mal eigenständig was unternehmen will, kann man sich immer an seinen Tourguide wenden, er hat uns immer super geholfen und beraten (bei uns: Arthur, wirklich cooler, entspannter und witziger Typ). Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist auch absucht fair. Man kann wirklich tolle Menschen kennenlernen und viel über andere Kulturen lernen und seinen Horizont erweitern. Aber: Manchmal etwas eng getaktet und wenig Freizeit. Ob das gut oder schlecht ist, muss jeder für sich selber entscheiden.

I had the best time on the Northern Thailand 14-day tour. It was so relaxing, and I felt completely safe knowing that wherever our tour guide took us would be amazing. I loved supporting local communities and learning about Thai culture in such a personal and meaningful way through our guide. Some of the highlights for me were hiking to waterfalls, visiting temples, feeding and washing elephants, going river rafting, and so many other unforgettable experiences. My favorite part was hiking up to a small village in the mountains, meeting and getting to know wonderful people, and playing with local children. Our tour guide also suggested the best restaurants and bars. I loved traveling with so many new people, many of whom I now call friends. I’ve already recommended this tour to my sister, and I just hope she gets a tour guide as caring and organized as Smile (my tour guide). He shared personal stories that helped us understand the culture through his own experiences, and he was always patient and happy to answer our million questions. He made sure everyone was safe, whether it was looking after us when we were sick or making sure we got home safely after a night out. He was also incredibly accommodating when it came to any extra wishes or concerns. Smile was both a caring friend, opening up to us on a personal level, and a great leader who was organized and supportive in every way. He shared so much about the history and culture, making the experience truly meaningful. I’m so glad Smile was our tour guide and so glad I took this amazing tour.

Arthur and Juen were both so welcoming, informative, fun and professional. Everyday they were so positive and fun whilst also making everyone feel safe. Nothing was a problem for them. Arthur knows the tour so well and was always wanting to make it the best experience for everyone. For example he would recommend things to do in the evenings and arrange them with no hassle. Arthur’s warm and bubbly personality is infectious and he made everyone in the group feel like a big family which made it very sad when the tour came to an end! Juen (JT) was incredible! He is passionate about his job and very kind and positive. Both Juen and Arthur were amazing at giving information and supporting with translations. They both went above and beyond and looked after us from the moment we arrived to the moment we had to get in our taxi really early in the morning. I would like to say a huge thank you for making it the best experience with unforgettable memories!

I went on the 14-day Thailand tour and had the most incredible experience. Arthur and Jeun were truly exceptional tour guides—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to making sure every part of the trip was seamless. They not only looked after our every need so we could relax and enjoy ourselves, but they also created a real sense of connection within the group and gave us a deep, authentic insight into Thai culture. I saw and experienced so many amazing things I never would have found on my own. From hidden gems to cultural traditions, I left the tour with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for the beauty and richness of Thailand. Honestly, words don’t feel enough to express just how much I loved this trip. It was beyond anything I could have hoped for—truly the trip of a lifetime.

What an amazing experience! Even though we did sooooo much packed into just 2 weeks, everything gelled together so well. I especially loved the elephant sanctuary and hill tribe visit/jungle trek as this was such a unique experience I’ll never forget. This was my first TruTravels tour and going off this experience I will definitely be booking more! Arthur has been an absolute gem of a guide! I cannot recommend him enough. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide for our northern tour as he was kind, super fun, knowledgeable and very helpful. Juen, who was also training alongside Arthur, had also been attentive, knowledgeable and super nice and it was very clear that he was super eager to learn from Arthur. We couldn’t have asked for better guides. The whole experience was fantastic, from the history knowledge and lessons, to the entertainment both Arthur and Juen had made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. They integrated with the tour group very well and made sure we all are comfortable as a team from the very first day. It’s also worth to note that I had a medical emergency on this trip and both Arthur and Juen acted fast, calmly and with professionalism. They made me feel calm and cared for in a very scary time and I am greatly appreciative of this. Arthur and Juen were 100/10 tour guides on this trip and I cannot thank them enough for such a great experience!

I had the most amazing time on the 14 day Thailand north tour! My guides Arthur and Juen were actually perfect! Bringing the energy everyday, despite some early mornings which really brought the moral of the group up! I actually ended up on crutches due to an ankle injury and Juen took me to the hospital, stayed with me and helped me so much after, really don’t know what I would of done without him! There’s a nice balance between action activities and chilling, I’ve seen so much of Thailand that I would not have been aware of myself if planning a solo holiday. My group were amazing, so nice to meet so many new people and and up with some life long friends, this is the same for the reps! If you’re thinking about booking a trip to Thailand I would recommended TruTravels, but the best thing really was the reps and the people! Can’t wait for my next tour hehe

It was an amazing trip that I'll never forget the tour guides Arthur and JT were amazing with good energy throughout the trip and always there to help weather it was a question or to lend a hand when you were struggling they really went above and beyond working hard to make it a fantastic adventure and friendly and safe environment.

All the activities we did were so much fun, I especially enjoyed the elephant sanctuary, jungle zip lining and all the caves and temples. Our tour guide Sea was so amazing and helpful.

The itinerary was jam packed with a range of activities, everyone got along really well from the start and our travel ninja was incredible.

What an experience. Arthur was our tour guide and I can’t even begin to express how good of a tour guide he was, even though I have only known him for 14 days it felt like we have been friends for years. He was honestly so fun and such a good laugh with excellent knowledge of all the cultural experiences that we participated in. Couldn’t recommend it enough

All the activities were great and really fun. It felt like you got an extensive taste of Thai culture through the food, traditions and of course the people. The trip was very well organised but also relaxed and laid back. Overall it was just really fun and well worth it.

Only doing the northern part of Thailand, I can’t believe how much this tour has made me fall in love with the culture, people and the friends I’ve made. In just two weeks I can say it’s changed my life. Our two tour guides (Ming & Ice) went well beyond expectations, looking after me in every shape and form. Ming and Ice have been an absolute pleasure to have had as guides and their friendliness is unparalleled. They have been super fun and organised and extremely helpful when anyone has asked questions or had problems. I can't imagine the trip without them and they have both been 100/10. Thank you guys! As someone who has not done a tour before, I was amazed at how well planned everything is and how much we managed to do and see, all whilst having enough downtime to relax and rest. I will certainly be coming back to this tour operator and hope the other tours can live up to this one!

The Northern Thailand tour has been the best 14 days of my life, Sea was the most informative, attentive, hilarious and kind tour guide. Most amazing trip I’ve ever done. The two girls, Ming and Pair, made us feel so relaxed and at ease with so much fun. A balance of both to suit all. Really a trip of a lifetime and I’m so glad I have met Ming and pair as my life was incomplete without them. I hope to see them again in the future as I am so happy to call them my family
