Reviews of our Thailand Tours for Senior Citizens

Our senior travelers love their Thailand journeys — here's what they say.

Severely hurt on the motorcycle (Vespa) progressive dinner … driver was inexperienced and did not lock Vespa for me to dismount - causing me to fall hard on my back on concrete with Vespa falling on top of me!!! Due to severity of motorcycle falling on top of me, I am asking for a refund of the trip!!

The itinerary was nicely balanced. It included the main sights in the places visited along with down time to rest and refresh. If keeping busy was more to your liking, there were many excellent optional tours. The coach was comfortable and kept clean. Loved the hotels. The Galleria 10 in Bangkok was in an excellent location, within walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, and the sky train. Their 2 for 1 daily Happy Hour was a nice way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Thoroughly enjoyed the other hotels which also offered pools for relaxation - in Kanchanaburi, Sukhothai, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. The hotel in Kanchanaburi was within walking distance of the famous Bridge over the river Kwai which was a bonus. The hotel in Chiang Rai was within walking distance to additonal sights not included in the tour as well as to excellent restaurants. All the hotels offered a good selection of options for daily breakfast as well as for the included dinners.

Ms. Jipanida Sugthong, (Poy) was great from the beginning of the tour to the time we went to our departure gate. The tour was everything I had imagined it would be. Poy made every outing special. I learned so much about the culture. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventure. I personally enjoyed the relaxing times at the resorts and spas and the home visit.

Our Wonders of Thailand vacation was unbelievable on all accounts. The Tour Manager was Ms. Jipanida Sugthong (Poy), she made everything amazing and I learned so much about the Thai culture. Honestly, of all the activities and beautiful temples we visited I think the day we spent at the Elephant Sanctuary ChangChill was so peaceful and better than I could imagine.

First time with Collette. What an amazing trip. Very encompassing tour of Thailand . It exceeded my expectations. Our tour director Poy was excellent- so fun as well as knowledgeable. We learned so much. The activities were very varied. Food on tour was very good. (But Not spicy).

We had a great time. Everything was well planned and well executed. We loved the elephant sanctuary and the White Temple and giving alms to the monks among other activities. The hotels were wonderful and so was the food. Our tour manager offered to handle all the tips for drivers and guides and that really made the difference for me. I was having anxiety about having cash and remembering to tip all the service people, but she made it easy.

Recommended activities and destinations for seniors in Thailand

Thailand offers an enriching travel experience for seniors, with its serene temples, floating markets, cultural shows, and scenic river cruises. Bangkok’s Grand Palace and Wat Pho are must-see landmarks, though they involve some walking. Wearing supportive footwear and taking guided tours with planned rest breaks can help during such sightseeing tours. Best time for seniors to travel to Thailand

The ideal time for senior travelers to explore Thailand is during the cool and dry season, which spans from November to February. During these months, the temperatures are more comfortable, and humidity is lower, making outdoor activities and sightseeing much more enjoyable for older travelers. This period is also great for visiting temples, cruising along rivers, and strolling through local markets without dealing with the intense tropical heat.
