Mexico Yucatán Experience

I had a great time on this trip and would definitely book another experience with TruTravels. During the trip, our guide was with us most of the time, she was really friendly and enthusiastic and really helped us all make the most of the trip. She did well to encourage everyone to mix and get to know each other. The accomodation all felt safe and clean. The activities were nicely spread out and there was a decent variety and pace. There was enough time to relax a bit without getting bored.

Really fun trip with a big variety of activities and experiences. Eve was a fab tour guide! Met some great people and want to see more!

Awesome trip, great way to see so much of Mexico in a short space of time. Top moments were the beach at Holbox, swimming in the 7 colours lagoon, experiencing the cenotes, all the guacamole, delicious breakfast recommendations, seeing Xichen Itsa and biking in Tulum. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to party and catch a lot of culture all in one trip. I loved that the group was only 10 people, gave us a chance to meet everyone and there wasn’t a divide in the group nor too many people.

Our tour guide Lau was amazing! She helped me before and during the trip and was always happy to answer any questions I had. I had such a fun trip! However, I did feel like the trip could have been a bit longer and less rushed. Would have loved to have some more time in places.

I had an amazing time on the México Yucatán experience and would recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

Fab trip, lots of good activities. Lau was very good tour guide. One of the hotels didn’t have aircon so think should be changed. Also Tulum ruins were bit of pointless activity without having guide, others were fab though

I liked the variety of the things to do on the trip: ruins, Pueblo magic, time at the beach, snorkeling with turtles, good food. Also the guide was always helpful and gave hood advice. Great trip!

Extremely well organised and planned tour, we packed so much in to the 10 days and had the best time. The value you get for your money is brilliant, with a lot of activities included in the up front price and options to do extra when you are there. Lau the tour guide was amazing, extremely knowledgeable about the area and give great tips on sight seeing, bars, restaurants etc at every stop on the tour. Also as a girl travelling, I have never felt safer as part of her tour group. Great trip if you want to immerse yourself in the culture while also having time to relax on the beach, highly recommend. Only downside was not all the accommodation had AC and it was extremely hot, especially in Bacalar. Other than that amazing!

Agatha has been absolutely amazing!! Great food recommendations and a sure friend for life! This tour had a great mix of history and beach and a fabulous group as well!

My trip was great, mostly because of Agatha our tour guide! Agatha was the best tour guide I have ever had! She is absolutely incredible, so friendly, welcoming and responsive. From the minute we met in person she helped me out hugely with a SIM card and from then on she became the absolute heart of our tour. Every day she’d send long lists of recommendations of places to eat and all the details of what the plan for the day was. She always answered questions really quickly and all of her recommendations were great! Our group started saying “Agatha is always right” as her recommendations for food, activities etc were always spot on! Agatha was so friendly and warm, she really made us feel at home in Mexico and was excellent at giving us information about everything we were doing from paddle boarding to Merida. She is an amazing ambassador for the company and anyone would be so lucky to have her as their tour guide! I will now only take trips if the tour guide is Agatha, she’s that amazing :)

Thanks for getting us all where we needed to be, answering our silly questions and showing us all the best eating! Had a great trip and so blessed with the group that I ended up with. The excursions were great, especially the sunrise paddleboardong. Some of the accommodation could be improved, but it was an amazing trip regardless.

I don’t even know where to start! I have just had the best experience with a great group of people, I would now call life longs friends. We visited incredible spots all over Yucatan with non stop laughter along the way. Agatha always had the greatest recommendations (especially food recommendations, full tummy happy heart) she was also extremely helpful for every single one of us. She always went out of her way and made sure we enjoyed every seconds of our time on the tour. The accommodation was always superb and activities were so much fun; cycling to Cenotes, sunrise paddle boarding and mezcal tasing! They are just a few of my favourites. I recommend TruTravels to everyone, especially if you are on a tour with Agatha. I miss her and the group already. She is a tru credit to the company. I hope I can join another tour with her someday 🤞🏼

I absolutely loved the tour in Mexico! The group was so nice as was the itinerary. Our guide Agatha was fantastic! Such an amazing person and guide. All her recommendations are spot on and she made us feel very welcomed and safe. Definitely recommend!

This travel specialist is the best way to explore when you’re on a tight timeframe as you see all of the best bits. I felt too scared to travel Mexico without being on a tour so this seemed like the best option. Plus, having done a trip with them previously, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed!

This trip is certainly one to do. The only negative is that it is not a cheap trip in terms of spending money, estimate for £1000. It is so worth it!!! Our guide was Luis who is a very knowledgeable individual. He is passionate about teaching others about Mexico and its history. Luis is extremely bubbly and full of energy which makes it so much more fun. He includes everyone and is willing to help anyone in any way shape or form. I have never been travelling before and i am sure i will be doing it again, all down to luis because of the experience i have had on this trip. Thank you Luis.

Lots of excellent beaches, some exciting site seeing and just enough partying!!!

The tour itself was incredible and well paced. We got all the highlights and all the accommodations were amazing and conveniently located!

Tour guide was excellent. Accommodation was okay. Cancun could be rethought as the hotel was very noisy.

I had an amazing time in Mexico. The tour guide was amazing and had was very knowledgeable about Mexico. She also took us to some great restaurants in the different parts of Mexico. I enjoyed having a mixture of relaxing days by the beach/ pool and fun different day trips out.

Agatha was our tour guide and she was absolutely brilliant. Super knowledgeable, fun and friendly. She did her best to make sure that everyone was accommodated and could enjoy the tour to the max. Would highly recommend this tour especially with Aggy as tour guide

I did the Mexico trip on the 3rd Feb 2023 with Luis as the tour guide and had an absolutely incredible time. Luis went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe, had a good time and learnt lots about the country and its culture. Luis saw that some of us were arriving before the start date so organised a boat trip, he got us VIP almost everywhere and was able to skip queues for us ;) This is my second trip with this travel specialist and likely not my last! I will/have recommended them to my friends. I spent a lot more than I was expecting on this trip but tbh I really don't care as I had 11 of the best days of my life.

My trip was amazing from the beginning to the end, the group was just perfect, and our tour guide Luis is awesome, he made sure that our time in Mexico was perfect, he really worried about every single detail, he taught us a lot about mexican culture, he always had an answer for every question, he's very professional, and a great photographer! he took care of us, and he was there for absolutely everything we needed, he's friendly and funny, he made every party something to not forget. It's been an unforgettable 11 days, we had so much fun together, I wouldn't change anything about it. 10/10, highly recommended.

Where do I begin! I had the most amazing 11 day tour in Mexico and would highly recommend it to everyone. It is a great way of meeting new people while experiencing a new culture - it is crazy how quickly the bond between everyone forms! There were little to no issues with any of the accomodations, except some Aircon/wifi issues which weren't a biggie. All accomodation staff were very helpful and kind. Cabanas coconut on Holbox was definitely a highlight accomodation and very authentic to the Holbox vibe. I also really liked Che hostel and the party vibe to meet other travellers. It was fantastic to see so many amazing sites in the Yucatan area in such a short space of time. The cenotes were stunning, chichen itza was a true marvel, the mezcal tasting was great fun, and the beach clubs made for the most chill of days! The optional activities were true highlights however and I believe they should be included as part of the whole stay! The sunrise paddleboarding in Bacalar was my favourite activity for sure, and the lunch with the Mayan family was so so special - and the best Mexican food I've ever had! The transport with Daniel was very comfortable and I really appreciated the snacks and cooler full of drinks he had for us! The downright star of this trip though was our amazing tour guide Agatha! I am so honored to now call Agatha my friend. She is an amazing fun person, but also is truly fantastic at her job!! She is a wealth of knowledge who could always lead us to an ATM or shop. She was so caring and would never leave anyone behind (there may be one night I had a drink too many and she took great care of me getting me home!!) She gave fantastic recommendations for food - I didn't have one bad meal this entire trip! I always enjoyed our conversations and she is just so fun! Te amo Agatha! Definitely would not have had the same experience without you!

We had an incredible time exploring Yucatan with Agatha - the best tour guide ever! The tour included some great activities. We visited several cenotes, had a guided tour around Chichen Itza, and had a boat trip on the lagoon in Bacalar. For me, the highlights were the Oxman Cenote with the rope swing, the sunrise paddle boarding in Bacalar, and trying all the amazing Mexican food - especially with the local family. Our experience would not have been the same without our amazing guide. Agatha was so friendly, kind, and very knowledgable about everywhere we visited. Nothing was too much hassle, she was always happy to help. She really made the experience better than I could have imagined. The only things I would have changed would be the first & last night accommodation, and knowing about the additional costs for activities & transport. I’d also say it could have been slightly better value for money with a few more included activities. Overall, I had a great time in Mexico, learning a lot about the history and culture, meeting some great people, and experiencing some fun activities. I would recommend this tour to others and fingers crossed you get Agatha as your guide!

There were so many highlights of the trip it’s hard to pick. The Cenote with the swing, Mayan family lunch, Chichen Itza and the sunrise paddle boarding we ended up doing were all so memorable and something I won’t be forgetting soon. Overall the whole 11 days exploring the Yucatan was purely amazing!!

A really great tour, very well organized to see the different sides of Yucatán! Hotels/accommodation were mostly good, and great value for money. Our tour guide, Agatha, was the best and ensured that we all experienced what we came on the tour to experience and had the best time possible! She did an excellent job way beyond of what could be expected from a tour guide and I would definitely join another tour with her! Would highly recommend this trip and this travel specialist for a group tour!
