Amazing Yucatan experience

Extremely well organised and planned tour, we packed so much in to the 10 days and had the best time. The value you get for your money is brilliant, with a lot of activities included in the up front price and options to do extra when you are there. Lau the tour guide was amazing, extremely knowledgeable about the area and give great tips on sight seeing, bars, restaurants etc at every stop on the tour. Also as a girl travelling, I have never felt safer as part of her tour group. Great trip if you want to immerse yourself in the culture while also having time to relax on the beach, highly recommend. Only downside was not all the accommodation had AC and it was extremely hot, especially in Bacalar. Other than that amazing!

From playa to pueblo magico, the trip got everything

I liked the variety of the things to do on the trip: ruins, Pueblo magic, time at the beach, snorkeling with turtles, good food. Also the guide was always helpful and gave hood advice. Great trip!

Mexico

Fab trip, lots of good activities. Lau was very good tour guide. One of the hotels didn’t have aircon so think should be changed. Also Tulum ruins were bit of pointless activity without having guide, others were fab though

Yucatan

Full belly, happy heart. Thanks Agatha, you've been a star! I've loved you being fearless leader for the last 10 days. Thanks for getting us all where we needed to be, answering our silly questions and showing us all the best eating! Had a great trip and so blessed with the group that I ended up with. The excursions were great, especially the sunrise paddleboardong. Some of the accommodation could be improved, but it was an amazing trip regardless.

Amazing Mexico trip

My trip was great, mostly because of Agatha our tour guide! Agatha was the best tour guide I have ever had! She is absolutely incredible, so friendly, welcoming and responsive. From the minute we met in person she helped me out hugely with a SIM card and from then on she became the absolute heart of our tour. Every day she’d send long lists of recommendations of places to eat and all the details of what the plan for the day was. She always answered questions really quickly and all of her recommendations were great! Our group started saying “Agatha is always right” as her recommendations for food, activities etc were always spot on! Agatha was so friendly and warm, she really made us feel at home in Mexico and was excellent at giving us information about everything we were doing from paddle boarding to Merida. She is an amazing ambassador for the company and anyone would be so lucky to have her as their tour guide! I will now only take trips if the tour guide is Agatha, she’s that amazing :)

Beaches in Mexico

3 Most Popular Beaches In Mexico

  1. Playa Norte: Regarded as one of the finest beaches in Mexico (and perhaps the world!), the somewhat remote Playa Norte is nestled on the northern tip of the tranquil island of Isla Mujeres, off the coast of Cancun. This nearly 700-meter-long beach is renowned for its pristine white sands and remarkably clear turquoise waters. The beach's shallow shoreline and calm waves form a natural swimming pool, perfect for snorkeling and swimming without concern over strong currents. In addition to its unparalleled natural beauty, Playa Norte offers an array of beach clubs, restaurants, and yachts.

  2. Playa Delfines: Located in Cancun, the most popular beach destination in Mexico, Playa Delfines is distinguished by its iconic block-lettered “Cancun” sign, making it one of the most photographed beaches in the area. Unlike beaches crowded with high-rise hotels, this 30-kilometer-long beach offers unobstructed panoramic views of sand, sea, and nature. Its name, “Dolphins Beach,” comes from the pods of dolphins frequently seen playing in these waters. With lifeguards on duty and local vendors renting umbrellas and loungers, Playa Delfines has an easy, family-friendly vibe.

  3. Tulum Beach: As the stretch of coastline nearest to the famed Mayan ruins featuring El Castillo Pyramid, Tulum Beach retains an aura of antique mystery and wonder. Spanning over 10 kilometers, the powdery white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters never fail to impress with their raw natural beauty. Thatched-roof beach bungalows and bohemian bars playing ambient music create a distinctly trendy yet eco-friendly beach scene. Out in the waters, colorful fish and diverse coral reefs make Tulum Beach a snorkeling and diving paradise.

Travel Tips For Beach Tours in Mexico

  • The best time to visit Mexico for beach tours is in January and February. While much of North America and Europe endure cold winters, Mexico enjoys warm weather during these months with little to no rainfall on both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts.
  • Visit beaches from June to August to witness sea turtles nesting and hatching their eggs along Mexico's coasts. Prime turtle-watching spots include beaches in the Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo.
  • Some parts of Mayan Rivera face the issue of seaweed infestation, especially from April to August. Check daily seaweed forecasts online to find the cleanest swimming areas before heading out.
  • While most beaches in Mexico are sandy, some secluded beaches have rough or rocky terrain up to the shoreline. Pack water shoes so as not to restrict your walking or access to the beach.
