Itinerary

Begin in Athens and finish in Rome on a 13 day journey that blends classical landmarks with Mediterranean coastlines. You’ll explore Athens – from neoclassical boulevards to the Acropolis – then cross the Peloponnese for Olympia. Sail from Greece to Italy, calling at Alberobello’s trulli and Matera’s ancient Sassi, with time in Naples, Capri and Sorrento. Continue south through Cilento to Sicily – think Taormina with Mount Etna views, Baroque Catania, Ortigia in Syracuse and Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples – plus Marsala’s salt pans, hilltop Erice and Palermo with Monreale’s golden mosaics. Return via Pompeii’s ruins before rolling into Rome. Expect varied scenery, rich history and relaxed pacing.
