The itinerary was great. I loved how there were stops along the way that incorporated the local experiences and allowed us as travellers to gain insights into how the locals live and work and how absolutely grateful and extremely friendly they were to have a bus load of people at their doors. I hope all trips incorporate a local experience. Only issue I had with the itinerary was we ended up in a beautiful place for the night but everything was closing down once we arrived and we were leaving before anything was open. We were not late getting there we were right on time for everything. Maybe looking into the the times of arrivals to places would help. It wasn't just stores closing but restaurants as well which gave us a very limited choice of eating and of course everyone was going to the same place for food which made it extremely busy.
We were pleased with the tour. Very personable and knowledgeable tour guide. Nice that the bags don't have to be out at 6am. We are not big shoppers so sometimes the "free time" dragged on a bit, especially if you didn't do an excurion. Lots of time spent driving....but had a lot of ground to cover, lol. The tour is very well organized. Really enjoyed the sheep farm/lunch, Giant's Causeway (1 hr 35 min walking), Crystal factory and lots of history. The evening at the Torphichen Inn was enjoyable. The owner is quite the character and the entertainment and food were very good. We are not whiskey drinkers ( from the people talking, most were not either), so could have done without the whiskey tasting. We were prepared for lots of rain but only rained 3 times and for very short periods. The main reason for going was to see the Tattoo and it was awesome.
Had a wonderful time. Belfast was a wonderful surprise and worth going back to. It’s come a long ways and I’m so glad it was included in the itinerary. I love Ireland all the way around. Scotland was magical—from the highlands to Edinburgh. I could have spent the entire time in Edinburgh and been completely satisfied. The military Tattoo was phenomenal. Some side activities were ok, but were genuine. Not a lot of time to to spend in one spot as travel was extensive. Loved our host and our driver .
Itinerary was good, but many of the optional excursions were cancelled and there were no substitutes nor suggestions given for what to do instead.
Good itinerary covering Northern Ireland, & Scotland, but would be better with 2 days in Glasgow, & extra nights in Scottish Highlands. Otherwise a great & and unforgettable trip.
was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about every area we toured. Our bags were taken care of without any thought on my part. The hotels were great.
well organized and knew the areas well
The tour Director and Driver were great to keep us providing excellent service throughout the tour. The hotel and hospitality provided was also very good. We wish have a little more time to explore city of Glasgow. We reached late evening and could not see anything
The adverted itinerary sounded amazing but there were several of the “additional activities” that were not offered once we got there. As a solo traveler or someone that doesn’t want a lot of free time this was frustrating. The experiences that were offered were great. So many things to see and do. Almost every day have a good balance of experiences with enough time to enjoy it and some free time. Accommodations were all very nice, loved the added service of bags being handled and breakfast each morning. My favorite activities were when we got to meet the local people, like at the farm and dinners. I would’ve like to have more walking city tours versus being on the bus. Be prepared to walk very little.
It was perfect.
This was a fantastic itinerary. Got to see big cities, small towns, country hills. Some days felt long on the bus but I would not eliminate a thing.
I enjoyed the places we saw. We visited the major sights of Northern Ireland and Scotland and heard stories of natives sharing their history and culture. The dinner shows were very entertaining. The only downside was our guide. He left the stragglers behind as he moved too fast and didn’t make sure the entire group knew where to go. That left me unsure many times where to find the group. Other members had to look out for each other.
This was the most amazing holiday and experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. and were amazing hosts (the way navigated some of those roads....just WOW!!). The accommodation was great, the tours, dinners and sightseeing stops were all amazing. was an amazing multitasker, especially when she had to create some alternate events for us at the last minute! Her efforts were amazing and the results added more memorable moments to our phenomenal itinery (the last-minute Ceilidh was SOOOOO much fun). Thank you, Trafalgar, for another amazing trip. Highly recommend to all.
It was very well thought out! *personal info removed by Feefo* had so much information and Iver drove us very safely! The Storyteller excursion with dinner was fun! Best seafood chowder I’ve ever had! Everyone was so welcoming. I felt the prices of the additional excursions were reasonably priced. Seeing the Tattoo was the highlight of the trip for me! I was blown away! We made lasting friendships with other travelers!
There were a lot of experiences packed into the 11 days. There were a variety of excursions….something for everyone. Our tour guide and bus driver were excellent. We felt safe under their care everywhere we went. Some favorite experiences were the visit to the working sheep farm in Ireland and the Military Tattoo in Scotland, but we really enjoyed everything.
I liked this itinerary because it gave a sample of the history, food, mythical folklore of each country. , our tour guide gave us wonderful stories to explain what we were about to experience. It also gave us some free time to experience the towns itself. I have traveled 71 countries and I think that was the best travel guide and the best driver. They made it so enjoyable.
