Delve into the rich tapestry of Alta Gracia on this flexible half-day sightseeing tour departing from Cordoba. Choose a morning or afternoon start, then visit key sites: the tranquil Tajamar Lake, the historic Jesuit Estancia, Nuestra Señora de la Merced Church, Che Guevara’s childhood home, the museum dedicated to composer Manuel de Falla, and the Virgen de Lourdes Grotto.

This trip’s unique appeal lies in its diverse blend of history, culture, and local legends—all packed into an accessible, leisurely excursion.

Overview

Start the day with the pick up from your hotel, to leave Cordoba city through the provincial route No. 5 and head to Alta Gracia. On the way, we pass by the monument of Myriam Stefford, an actress, married to a local millionaire, who died in a tragic and mysterious plane crash.
Once we reach Alta Gracia city, we'll go on a sightseeing tour of its most important places, all related to its rich culutral heritage. Some of the places we visit are: Tajamar Lake, an old artificial lake built by the Jesuits; Alta Gracia Jesuit Estancia, Nuestra Señora de la Merced Church, the house where Ernesto "Che" Guevara lived during his childhood, the museum of the famous musical composer Manuel de Falla and the Virgen de Lourdes Grotto. We return to Cordoba after visiting the city.
