Good experience with Expat Explore's GBTOUR tour. While some nearby places were missed, the tour offered enjoyable moments. However, extended coach rides felt like time could have been better spent.
Excellent
This tour was unbelievable! From the amazing sights to the careful and thorough organisation by Lee and the humour and great driving of Minty. You get to experience three countries in seven days and there are unique experiences along the way. You don't need to worry about a thing on this tour as the Expat Explore staff have got everything covered. I can't wait to do another tour with this company!
Excellent
Our tour leader Mike was very good. Our driver Lee was by far the most enjoyable driver I've had in the 12 tours I've been on!
Very Good
This was my first tour, so I did not know what to expect. Our tour guide, Mike, was friendly, fun and professional, as well as our bus driver, Lee. I saw so many things along the trip, and hope to go back someday. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. I made some new friends and will keep in contact with them in the future. I learned so much about the history, such a beautiful place. Okie Dokie, Wakie Wakie!!!
Excellent

Great tour. Mike was an excellent tour guide and Chris was an extremely safe driver. Only negative was the amount of optionals. The tour was seven days with eleven optional tours to pay extra for. At least two of the optionals should have been included. Would I recommend the tour operator to a friend, ABSOLUTELY. But would I recommend The Great Britain New Year - No. With the additional excursions, the price of the trip was not a true reflection of how affordable the trips organized by this operator usually are. I've had extremely positive experiences with expat tours in the past, but was slight disappointed with the Great Britain New Years Tour.

Too much time on the bus. Places of interest suitable for old folks.
Excellent
One of the best trips we've been on. Mike was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The towns were quaint. Good shopping and food.
Very Good
I enjoyed the tour and all the places visited were great. I would have loved to have spend more time doing a tour, but I had limited time available, so this tour suited well.
Very Good
This was my first overseas solo trip and I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect as a solo traveller but I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable by the group, tour leader and driver. Our tour leader, Mike, was so knowledgeable of the places visited and all the history (including all the dates!) which blew my mind and he has such an infectious laugh and loves a joke - he was a fantastic leader. Martin was our driver and also such a great guy - I think they worked well as a team! The tour covers all the main areas of each country which gives you a food taste for places you might want to go back to another time. I think it's fantastic for first timers. I like Expat as they cover all ages and each tour has a food range of ages - unlike some others which are aimed at younger people only. My only gripe about the tour was that due to limited daylight hours, we couldn't see everything we wanted to see - Mike and Martin took us everywhere we wanted but we couldn't physically see some of the things. I would prefer to do this tour in summer with more daylight.

As winter days are shorter I feel that it requires time adjustments, specially the first three days, from York to Edinburg. Me and my wife felt that in order to make the tour more attractive you could skip some of the little towns and give us more time in cities like York, that we almost didn't see anything because by the time we got there was dark. The last day of the tour, if you don't buy the optionals, you cannot see anything but souvenir shops and, although we did paid for the optional sale, we found this a little harsh for the people that do not want or didn't have the budget. The tour leader and the driver are great people and overall we had a good time. We like Expat, this is our second tour with them, and we are already booked for 2 more, but we definitely think that the GB tour in winter time should be different.
